Race 1
(4) HOMEY JOE was bottled up until it was too late last time. He can take these if he gets clear sailing earlier in the mile. (10) BILLS FELLA is much-improved and he already won in this class two starts back. He is hard to leave out, even from post 10. (7) MAROMA BEACH beat the choice last time and he continues to race well. He's another for Pick 5 consideration. (2) AMERICAN HUSTLE beat non-winners of four last time but these look a bit tougher; small share predicted.
Race 2
(8) DREAMFAIR B J was solid in defeat last time and he has now paired up two top tries. I'll give him the nod here, considering his current sharp form. (3) RED JOHN finished behind the choice after duelling with him in the third 1/4. He is another that is in good form that should be right there, but note the four slices vs. only one win this year. (1) SOME ATTITUDE exits the same race as the top two and he should get into the flow this time, which gives him a better chance. (9) SOUTHWIND MONTY has a strong late kick on his best day. Toss him on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 3
(5) MAJOR HILL and (2) HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE both take substantial class drops and they are likely to slug it out for the win here. Nod goes to the former based on better gate speed. (6) HES A SENSATION is at the top of his game and he will be heard from late. (1) FINE DIAMOND is also dropping in class, but he has been a bit of a money burner this year with only one win from 19 tries. I will play to beat him here.
Race 4
(5) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS brushed and crushed in a lower class last time, but when he gets good, he can string a couple of top efforts together. He should be a square price here, too; nod. (7) CLASSIC PRO is one of the country's better three-year-olds tackling some salty elders here. He is an obvious contender, but consider his likely schedule for the rest of the year before dropping your rent money down on him. (6) MR WIGGLE PANTS has his confidence back now and he is another in with a shot here. (4) MACHAL JORDAN just took a new life's best at age 8, but these are much tougher, so a small share is likely here for the popular veteran.
Race 5
(6) MUCH ADOO won last time she was in this class and she is very dangerous on the class drop here; top call. (7) RUBIS PRESCOTT is another that won last time she raced in a similar class and she will likely get rolled early for good position here; using. (3) P L HURRICANE is another class-dropper that has to be considered here as she will likely trip out near the front. Trip will be key deciding the winner in this race. (9) ARTISTIC MADISON is sharp and she can close for a slice here.
Race 6
(5) JINS SHARK only gets into this race by meeting the strange added 'Also Eligible: Non-winners of $2,000 last three starts' condition. He outclasses these and should take beating here. (3) TRACEUR HANOVER should get a more aggressive steer here which puts him right in the picture vs. these. (4) MACH CODE is in solid form and he fits this class well; using. (7) MAKE SOME LUCK took a new life's best aided by a great trip last time, but he can take a small slice vs. these in his current sharp condition.
Race 7
(8) SOUTHWIND MASIMO couldn't advance racing first up in a race that featured a strong sustained pace from start-to-finish. He can bounce back here, likely racing off a helmet. (5) TOOT TOOT N should improve in his third start on a new continent and Hensley will position him closer to the front one of these weeks. (1) JIMMY BE GOOD is worth a look moving inside here. (4) MOHAWK WARRIOR can't seem to get that elusive initial 2017 win, but he figures to take at least a share in this field.
Race 8
(5) MACH PRIDE couldn't keep pace late in a very fast mile for the class last week. Macdonald returns for a second drive; top call. (3) BOOMBOOM BALLYKEEL drops to a level where he should be heard from; using. (4) IMSPORTY can take a share coming in off a sharp qualifier. (7) DARCEE N hasn't won on this circuit yet, but he can pass some horses late here and make the ticket.
Race 9
(6) MCWICKED had zero racing room for the entire stretch last week, which may have precipitated the driver change to Drury here. He should be a better price this time and he will likely be raced from behind in the flow, which is when he does his best. (5) SINTRA got a horrendous trip in the Gerrity and understandably stopped late. He should rebound with a much better effort here. (2) AMERICAN VIRGIN was solid in victory last week and he has returned to the form that saw him win five Preferreds in a row earlier in the year; using. (4) NIRVANA SEELSTER continues to race tough and he is always a threat to go all the way when he is in form.
Race 10
(2) ROCKIN FINISH moves inside here and he has already won twice at the meet at big prices. I'll give him a slight nod here. (6) DOVUTO HANOVER is tough racing on or near the lead in this class. He's hard to leave out. (8) PAR INTENDED races better off a helmet and saving his move for the stretch, which could play out here; using. (7) STREAKAVANA hinted at a return to from last time, but he obviously has more sires stakes engagements coming up; your call. (3) BEAST MODE drops and should also be heard from here.
