Race 1
(6) ON A SUNNY DAY handed Magic Presto a rare loss in sires stakes company last time and that tough rival doesn't show up here. This filly should handle these. (2) SWEET OF MY HEART is capable of carving out some big fractions if she stays flat; using. (5) HOLIDAY PROMISE is worth considering for the exotics getting McNair for the first time. (8) ROYAL WITCH should appreciate getting back to the big track and off a sloppy track here. She should make the ticket, at least.
Race 2
(6) CLASSIC PRO comes off a third-place finish in the Meadowlands Pace now faces a weak sires stakes group; enough said. (1) SAULSBROOK LANNY has a decent shot to complete the exacta starting from the inside here. (2) FIREBALL has only missed the board once this year and he projects to get a decent trip here. (8) RED JOHN is much improved of late. He can hit the Super in this field.
Race 3
(1) GRAVITATOR looks best here and she stands an excellent chance of notching her first 2017 win. A dry track would help, too. (4) MAJESTIC KAT had a tightener on Tuesday where she wasn't asked for anything. She is sharp and dangerous here. (5) CASAUBON exits a very fast mile where she wasn't close but she can fare much better here and she has won half of her starts so far this year. (2) TYMAL REIGN should close in late for a piece here.
Race 4
(8) WHATASHOWINONTARIO has developed a lethal late kick in the past few weeks and if he gets a decent pace to track he will be hard to hold off here. (1) SPORTS LIGHTNING has a much better chance here than last week when he showed little after leaving from the 10 hole. (2) EAST END exits a quick mile where he couldn't make a dent first-over. He races better off cover and he should get some here. (4) SHADOW MARGEAUX is a good one to use underneath in Tri and Super wagers.
Race 5
(3) MC MACH wasn't moved early enough last time, but that was in a conditioned race. Check out the move he made two starts back in a sires stakes win; top call. (6) SPORTS COLUMN tries Lasix here in an effort to get untracked. He should improve, but I wouldn't take a short price. (5) C L SPORTACTION has already won an OSS Gold here in July, but he may find the top two here too tough. (2) BILLS FELLA is a hot horse that should contend for at least a slice.
Race 6
(6) MAGIC NIGHT was loaded with no room last week in what should serve as a perfect tightener for this sires stakes event. I'm going to single him expecting to see a repeat of his dominant performance from two starts back. (4) DREAM MASSIVE has improved in his last two and he can complete the exacta here. (2) NORTHERN MAJOR has turned into a decent deep closer. He should make the ticket. (1) SCENE A MAGICIAN was 2nd to the choice almost four weeks ago and hasn't been seen since. I'll try to beat him out of the Tri here as the likely 2nd choice.
Race 7
(4) MACH CODE had an eventful trip last week and he was affected when the leader broke on the final turn and scattered the field. He fits here and should be one of the main contenders. (6) P L IDAHO was perfectly tripped out to win last week and he is in great form; using. (1) PRESCOTTS HOPE should be closer here starting from an inside post and his price should be good. (2) AMERICAN VIRGIN looked like he was on his way to a win when he went on a wild break on the final turn last time. It's tough to predict what he'll do here off that mile, but he is a contender at this level.
Race 8
(1) VERO AMORE BI requalified faster than his rivals here race for purses. He will be tough to beat if he stays flat. (7) TRY TRY AGAIN had his win streak broken last time by a colt who trotted a very fast mile for the class. This will likely come down to a two-horse race if both he and the choice stay flat. (6) R FIRST CLASS is a speed threat who should hang around for a share. (3) PARKHILL NONSTOP has come around for trainer/driver Hudon and he is worth including in Tris and Supers.
Race 9
(2) NASCAR SEELSTER showed gameness in his last two wins before the vet scratch. If he is sharp enough coming off a qualifier, he should resume his winning ways here. (8) TYMAL PEACEMAKER exploded late for an impressive score last week. He may be the one to beat here off that mile. (5) RICHARD HILL was beaten by a hot horse last time, but that race should serve as a great tightener for this sires stakes dash; using. (4) FRONTIER SEELSTER rarely misses the ticket. He should share racing from close range here.
Race 10
(4) ELLIS PARK could do no better than 4th despite pacing a sub-1:50 mile last week. With the winner of that race not in here, he rates highly in this field. (8) FOOL ME ONCE finished ahead of the choice last time, but had a better trip. These two may decide this race down the lane. (5) TRACEUR HANOVER is in solid form and he should pass many of these to make the ticket. (3) BALLERAT BOOMERANG tries hard every week, but he will find some of these tough and likely finish on the fringes here.
Race 11
Last time (5) SOIREE SEELSTER raced in a sires stakes over this track, she was tripped out to win by Filion. A repeat of that trip and result stands a good chance here. (7) FUTURE HEADLINES showed little last time, but that race should serve its purpose to keep her tight for this more lucrative dash; using. (8) WINDY SPORT hasn't won since May, but she should be a threat from on or near the lead in this field. (1) THE JOY LUCK CLUB comes off a big win in the Kin Pace at Clinton, but these are tougher and she likely takes only a small share here.
Race 12
(7) AINT THREE OK paced a big mile last week, but there was no way she was catching the sharp winner in a 26 3/5 last 1/4. She should be tough here now that she has hit her best stride. (5) FADE should be the main danger to the choice racing on the lead or out of the pocket. (6) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW is in great form, but moves into OSS Gold company from the Grassroots which could be a tough jump here. (2) YARIS BAYAMA was a top performer in this class last year as a two-year-old. She could be worth a stab here if she goes off at a square price.
Race 13
(9) MR WIGGLE PANTS can take another here now that he has got untracked vs. easier last week. He is still the class of the field in this race. (7) FIRST CAR raced tough first up last week after taking a 1:50 life's mark the previous week. He looks like the main threat. (5) E L WILD SPIRIT adds Lasix in his 2nd start off the claim. Toss him in Tri, Super and High 5 bets. (10) BOOMBOOM BALLYKEEL drops but gets the worst post. He can rally for a smaller share. (2) DREAMY FELLA is worth consideration for the bottom of exotic wagers as he should pass some of these in the final 1/4.
