Race 1

(3) P L JACKSON stayed buried throughout the mile last week, but he figures to leave here which could put him in good position to win at a price. (1) SHADOW PLACE closed ground and passed some horses in a 27 flat final 1/4 last time. He could get a good trip on cover here and capitalize late. (2) CHAMPAGNE PHIL was closing stoutly late at London on a night where the front end held up all night. Toss him in Pick 5 bets. (6) CONTINUAL HANOVER can be much closer early here moving to one of the best posts. He’s not out of this opener that has many possibilities.

Race 2

(1) LYONS SNYDER served notice that he’s back with a lifetime best score last time at The Meadowlands. He should handle these with anything close to a repeat of that effort. (3) BOSTON RED ROCKS was a strong second last time he raced in the Graduate. His two miles since then should have him primed for a sharp try here. (2) ROLL AWAY JOE got hung out to dry in the Confederation Cup Final. He should get a better trip here and take a share. (5) DR J HANOVER can take a smaller slice racing from close range.

Race 3

(2) DUC DORLEANS was picked off by the pocket-sitter right on the line last week after setting strong splits throughout. He has more options here starting from the inside and he could trip-out; top call. (4) BOOMBOOM BALLYKEEL went a big uncovered trip to win most recently at London and he has clearly hit the top of his form cycle; using. (3) DAYLIGHT RUSH should be a threat racing near the lead. A perfect pocket trip is a real possibility for him. (9) BALLERAT BOOMERANG got too far back last time, but he was motoring late. Another smaller share is likely here for him.

Race 4

(3) CLASSIC PRO dropped 6 2/5 seconds in three starts in May and trainer Moore looks like he has him perfectly prepped for his stakes debut. Having aggressive driver Henry adds to the appeal; nod. (9) HURRICANE BEACH is another that has come to hand quickly that figures to be a big factor here. (7) BEYOND DELIGHT looks ready to fire a big one, but history suggests he saves his best for the biggest dances. He can win this, but he isn’t a great bet if he is a short price. (5) SOUTHWIND GENERAL was very impressive at Flamboro in his sophomore debut. He wouldn’t be the worst longshot to take a flyer on.

Race 5

(2) THE ROADIES was getting to a sharp winner late last week. He has been razor sharp in his past two starts and there is no reason to think he won’t be a top contender here. (9) MAJOR HILL got a good chunk of his claiming price back immediately last week, but post could make a difference here. (7) PAULY WALLY blew it wide open at London last week in a race where he laid over the field on paper. These are much tougher, but he is in with a shot with Roy driving. (3) ALWAYS A HOTSHOT rode a slow early pace to victory last time in this class. He likely won’t get the same trip here, but he can share.

Race 6

(3) MCWICKED goes back to conditioner Coleman’s stable after pacing his back 1/2 in 53 3/5 most recently. He should be formidable here. (7) ELLIS PARK brings it every week but rarely gets rewarded because of the trips he gets. He could trip-out and register an upset if the flow is decent. (4) AMERICAN VIRGIN rarely misses the board although he has missed some time. He can fill the bottom rung of the Tri or Super. (6) NIRVANA SEELSTER steps up off a game win which was the fastest mile in Canada so far this year. I may have him rated too low; your call.

Race 7

(9) BROADWAY DONNA has returned as good as ever and she comes off a monster first-over effort in which she beat some of these. I will expect Miller can work out the right trip from out there driving the best one in here. (5) DAYSON was game in defeat to the winner last time and he should provide the stiffest challenge, but note he broke last time he raced at Mohawk. (11) CUFFLINK HANOVER was out the mile from the worst post yet was still only beaten 4 1/2 lengths by the choice. He has an upset chance here; using. (2) BLENHEIM should be passing many of these late if he stays trotting; consider for exotics.

Race 8

(5) RICHARD HILL gave no indication from his qualifiers that he was ready to fly like he did last week. That’s why he paid $58.80. He should be even better here so I’ll side with him. (2) IDEAL WHEEL is the Coleman barn’s main North America Cup hope. He had a useful tightener and he should be ready to pace a big mile here; using. (8) ROCK THIS WAY should be passing many of these late for a slice. (7) FRONTIER SEELSTER came ready for action at Flamboro, and although he shows a lot of promise, this is a big step up. He can hit the bottom of the Tri or Super.

Race 9

(1) SINTRA is not handicapped by post here like he was in the Confederation Cup final. He should get back on track as the favorite. (3) WESTERN FAME was cleverly driven to beat the choice last time and although he isn’t out of this, the post factor is eliminated here and the choice will be tough to beat. (2) CHECK SIX is another that is in with a decent shot should the choice falter. (5) EASEY LOVER HANOVER can stick around for a slice this time.

Race 10

(5) FINE DIAMOND closed sharply last week in what was his best effort in a while. Perhaps Roy has him figured out and he sticks here; slight nod. (3) BETTOREVER has been facing some tough ones at Yonkers recently. He fits well here ad he should be a major factor. (1) MCKINNEY tripped out to win last week, but he did take a new life’s mark in doing so. A repeat isn’t out of the question. (2) MACH CODE can get into the exotics.

Race 11

(10) JIMMY BE GOOD flew down the stretch last week to take a new lifetime mark. While it may be tougher to work out a similar trip here, he is very sharp and the price will likely justify the risk. (5) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS drops back to the class where he last won. He should wake up with a better performance here. (7) COOL ROCK gets veteran driver Christoforou for the second straight start and they are capable of sweeping the field if they go fast enough early. (1) DARCEE N always finishes on the fringes no matter how the pace or trip goes; minor share predicted. (6) TOTALLY KISSED steps up off a lifetime best score. He could better this placing.
