Race 1
(7) TOMY TERROR is a popular item in the claiming box these days and he goes for a hot barn here; call to repeat. (2) ROCKIN RONNIE also goes first off the claim and he should be challenging the choice again here. (4) SINGHAMPTON KENNY was roughed up last time but he can improve here starting from a better post. (5) SHIPPEN OUT gets post relief here which makes him a good one to use on the bottom.
Race 2
(6) IONIA sat buried the entire mile at Grand River the other night, now he picks up Henry. He can jump up here and win at a square price. (3) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL faces easier and keeps McNair, who does better with her than anyone else; using. (2) ROSESAREEXPLOSIVE drops and gets a better post. She need only stay flat to contend here. (8) CHARMBO CHROME races well in this class. He can close for a slice here.
Race 3
(2) LISVINNIE was making what looked like a menacing stretch move last week, but the leader was too strong. A similar effort can get the job done vs.these. (4) REIKI is on a roll and he attracted another claim last week; using. (6) CHARMBO ORBIT merits a look off the Auciello claim alone. He is on my tickets. (5) DEEPFAVE HANOVER is always around but cannot seem to grab a win. I will use him underneath.
Race 4
(7) APOCOLYPS SEELSTER was heavily bet last time but was no match for the winner, who crushed the field. This looks like an easier assignment; slight nod. (5) CAMMANDER RUFF finished just ahead of the choice but he was running in badly down the lane. He figures but demand a price. (4) YOUNG MAN MATT was hammered at the windows, but he stopped badly in the back half. Maybe he bounces back here. (6) REAL WICKED will likely be passing horses late to take a slice here.
Race 5
(6) LADY CATERINA races without trotting hopples here and she drops in class. A big speed try is likely from her. (7) THEE DESPERADO was third vs. much tougher last. He could be cycling towards a top try here. (1) MUSCLE HIGH is worth a look here dropping and moving way inside. He could be much better tonight. (8) STAR PHOTO is a game veteran who can leave for position then stick around for a slice.
Race 6
(6) FIREBALL chased some quick fractions to nab 2nd late. He looks as good as any here. (4) UF BETTORS HANOVER is in solid form and he only needs a slightly better trip to get the job done here. (1) BETTIM CHRIS is the kind that Roy gets across in races like these; using in the Pick 4. (7) ANOTHER GREAT PICK can come late and take another smaller slice again.
Race 7
(2) B YOYO takes the plunge here and gets a good post from which Roy can launch an early assault; no excuses. (1) GREAT MAGIC fits better in this class and he should be an exacta factor. (4) ABSOLUT SEELSTER has turned up his game racing out of town and he can hit the board here racing from close range. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER continues to be an infrequent winner, but he should take a share racing back in this class again.
Race 8
(3) APHRO STAR drops here and if he stays flat this time, he should be tough racing against these. (1) NOBETTERPLACETOBE was close racing at this level two back and driver McClure can get him to produce a good late kick; using. (5) LIVELY FREDDIE always seems to land on the edges in this class; use underneath. (4) JENKINS CREEK steps up off the claim after failing to convert at the bottom level; small share predicted.
Race 9
(4) STIRLING BOUDICA projects to get a similar trip here as she did last week when she notched a narrow win; call to repeat. (2) TALBOTCREEK SUZIE was only a couple of steps short vs. the choice last week. It wouldn't take much for her to turn the tables. (3) SLIP INTO GLIDE is coming around and he's likely to win one soon; using. (7) CARMENS FLUKE figures to close late for a smaller share.
Race 10
(1) DANCIN DOUG takes as big a class drop as you might find on this circuit; now or never. (5) AMERICAN WIGGLE looks like the main threat based on his past two starts and he's the other one that I'll use in the late Pick 4. (3) SURPRISE HANOVER is starting to hit his best stride and he makes sense to use underneath here. (2) HOPIESDRAGININTHEDO makes his second start for trainer Puddy and he's another who can take a share off a following trip. (9) MACH DEJA VU disappointed last week when hammered at the windows. I could see him changing tactics here and closing to get on the High 5 ticket.
