Race 1
(7) PRETTY HANDSOME broke through last time when facing easier than he had been and that was after missing almost a month's action. Returning quicker this time, he gets top call here. (2) CASIMIR RICHIE P was an easy winner in a Grassroots race two starts back and he is a must-use here dropping out of an OSS Gold race. (9) GIDEON SEELSTER raced okay here on August 3rd. He's in with an outside chance here and he should be a good price. (10) SUN MATCH dropped several seconds last time when racing against the same promising winner that beat him in his previous start. Toss him in Tri and Super bets.
Race 2
(9) P L LAYLA had no issue with an outer post here two starts back and she should be tough to beat here. (1) LADYDINI improved sharply last time and she could pose a late threat to the choice here. (5) DALLIANCE SEELSTER has some sneaky good form and she should share here, at a minimum. (2) PRETTY N WELL dropped several seconds in his most recent qualifier and she is worth a look here for the bottom of the exotics.
Race 3
(8) MAGICAL LADY raced well at big odds in her debut and she showed enough early speed to be able to overcome this post; slight nod. (9) LADYS INTUITION has shown that she has the ability to compete at this level when she stays flat; using. (1) TUSK has improved racing out of town and she deserves a look here in the good form she has displayed recently. (4) SHEZA CHUNKYMONKEY gets major post relief here and is another that can take this race if she gets a decent trip.
Race 4
(9) THE ROADIES put in a solid effort from the 10-hole last time and faces what looks like an easier field here. The outer post should boost his price; top call. (3) BURNING SHORE was first up in some wild fractions last time and he hung in there okay. He projects to get a better trip here; using. (4) BALLERAT BOOMERANG has become somewhat trip dependent, but he could get a good trip here. Toss him in the exotics. (5) OUREA NOURRIR steps up off a good effort and he should take another slice here.
Race 5
(7) ST LADS NEPTUNE will get heavily bet here, but with good reason. He stands a good chance to keep his winning streak alive. (9) FAMILY SPORTS has shown he can take a lot of air and keep advancing. He's the main danger to the choice. (6) HOWMAC DANCER has some ability, but also some gait issues. Let price be your guide if you like him here. (5) JOHNATHAN QUICK can crack the exotics if he stays pacing this time.
Race 6
(4) MS MILLER 's races two and three starts back are the best two on the program page, but she also has trouble staying flat; slight nod. (6) KANT AFFORD IT was no match for the choice two starts back, but, she is sure-gaited and the likely benefactor should the choice break again. (3) ALLERAGE STARGAZER is another that has some talent and gait issues. I'll toss her in the Pick 4. (2) GRADABRA can take a share off a good following trip here.
Race 7
(2) LUCKY MICHAEL is always around the money and with two wins in his last three starts, and he could get a good trip here leaving from the inside; nod. (6) WILD WEST raced much better last time and he could upset here with more progression. (8) NORTHERN REBEL showed nothing vs. much better last time. This is more his crowd and he might be a good price here; using. (3) SIZZLING SUMMER raced well vs. a tough winner at Clinton and he gets a good post here. He's another in with a good chance here
Race 8
(10) CAMERON HILL faces much easier here and the outermost post should help boost her price; top call. (7) WILLYORWONTHE took them a long way last week on the engine, but he has scored upsets racing out of the pocket with Macdonald driving in the past and he may look for that trip here. I'll include him at a price. (6) ESCUELA was too far back on poor cover last time. She can be right there if there is a good flow. (5) CABERTOSS has shipped in and blown up the tote board here before. Consider him here - especially if he gets overlooked in the wagering.
Race 9
(6) WHEN YOU DANCE is back where he fits and he gets a driver upgrade to McNair here; top call. (5) ATOMIC SEELSTER can't be overlooked here after winning two Grassroots races in a row. (4) SHADOW OF LINDY has come to life out of town and he goes for a trainer that does well in these races every year; using. (7) DAM LUCKY can close late for a small slice here.
Race 10
(6) SAVANNAH SPLENDOR was a solid winner off the Budd claim last week and he puts him right back in the same class looking for another win; top call. (2) PLAY IT AGAIN SAM raced tough as the chalk to be second to the winner. An easier trip here could see him turning the tables. (8) INTENDED STYLE had his win streak broken by the choice, but, he's not out of this and he could get put into this race earlier. (7) ANTAR PHIL has been in good form out of town and he looks next best.
Race 11
(5) SPORTS LIGHTNING returns from the Gold Cup and Saucer and he gets to take a class plunge here. He should handle these. (1) IMSPORTY also drops and he could get out closer to the lead this time; using. (7) PAR INTENDED is an honest trier who could upset here with the right trip. (10) FIRST CAR and (9) PRONCE CLYDE both appear to be factors, but if both leave hard, neither is likely to survive.
