Race 1
(9) MILLERS SONG should be ready to show her best with an eventful tightener under her belt; top call. (1) HOLIDAY PROMISE exits a quick heat where she wasn't disgraced. She fits well here. (2) ANNIKADABRA is fast enough to compete with these, but she may be best used on the bottom here. (8) KUIL DEVA is another that can finish on the edges that is a good one to use on the lower exotic rungs.
Race 2
(6) BURNIN MONEY takes a substantial drop to meet a field he should beat. Keep in mind that this race and races 3, 5 and 6 are all World Driving Championship races. (7) MYSTERY BET fits well here and gets local star Macdonald on his home track; using. (1) SMOKE MONKEY raced better last time when dropped to this class. He is in with a decent chance here. (2) VICS ROYAL LADY can use her good speed to get position early then stick around for a slice.
Race 3
(2) BUGGER BRUISER drops to the bottom level and you have to think Dunn will send him; top call. (4) OUREA NOURRIR has improving form and he should be competitive in this spot. (6) DIALAMARA requalified well enough to be ready here, but he must stay flat. (3) GRANDE SEELSTER is fast enough to take at least a share.
Race 4
(7) HUDSONS YA YA is obviously one of the best fillies in here, but she must stay trotting, obviously. (6) INNER DRIVE raced okay against a tough and fast filly last time. She fits here. (5) STORMONT ROYALTY should be able to hit the ticket leaving from a good post. (3) YOU CANT AFFORD ME is 2 for 26 with 9 slices. Another smaller share is likely for her this time.
Race 5
(11) MISS COCO LUCK drops and she may get a good trip leaving from the second tier here; slight nod. (2) LIGHTS GO OUT drops and adds Lasix. An aggressive steer is expected here. (1) MISCHIEVIOUSGIRLS steps up off a win, but she typically strings two or three good ones together when she is sharp before going off form again. Toss her in your multi-race bets. (6) PRETTY HOT is another class-dropper worthy of consideration in a contentious heat.
Race 6
(2) SKY LAV could move up sharply racing out of the Weller barn for the first time here. (8) LMC MASS OAK is sharp and dangerous and was picked off only late by an improving pocket-sitter last time; using. (1) ST JAMES GATE has the look of a contender, but the 1 hole isn't ideal for him. Miller will have to motivate him to beat a few of these off the gate, which may be no easy task. (6) GRANA PADANO went sideways nearing the wire last week and was set down for interference. He is possible here, but that behaviour is worrisome.
Race 7
(1) COURTNEY HANOVER was awesome in her debut for trainer/driver Zeron; call to repeat. (4) SHAZAMM kicked home impressively to beat a heavy chalk in the opening leg of this series. She is the main danger. (9) JORDAN BLUE CHIP and (10) ALLOVERAGAIN look next best, but post is their enemy here.
Race 8
(7) GISELE TREELANE is risky due to her gait issues, and while I wouldn't take a short price on a win bet here, she is the best in here if she behaves which makes her a late Pick 4 must-use for me. (6) STRITCH exits a quick race which should act as a perfect primer for this Grassroots event; using. (8) KENDRAS COCO is likely to show early speed here and she could upset if the top two falter. (9) JILONA is another that has high early speed when she stays flat, but is often plagued by gait issues. She is a tough one to get a gauge on, but she does have some talent.
Race 9
(3) BUSTINGATTHESEAMS was aggressively handled to a win by Waples last week and he returns here in a race where she fits well; call to repeat. (4) CRYSTAL GUMDROP couldn't catch the choice late, but that was a good effort for her; using. (1) TICKET TO SEATTLE failed as choice vs. the top two last time, but she isn't out of this. She should take at least a slice. (2) STUCK IN MY SPANKS is capable of a big speed try when she behaves. She would be worth a stab if she goes off in the 12/1 range.
Race 10
(9) BAROCKEY drops and she stands a good chance to pop. (4) KATIES BEACH should leave much better here starting from an improved post and she merits a look at what might be a good price. (5) ONYOURMARKNATAVA can string a couple of good starts together for a barn that typically runs hot and cold; use in exotics. (7) NINETTE B has been showing good early speed in her recent starts and she can stick around for a share here. (8) BRITTLE is another that can blast off the gate that can make the ticket here.
