Race 1
(2) AMERICAN SARA took a new life's mark vs. non-winners of four lifetime, now she gets to face non-winners of three because she meets the earning threshold. She should have no problem with these. (4) WILD DOROTHY won for the 5th time in six starts in taking her WEG debut, but her race was almost two seconds slower than the choice's. She would have to up her game considerably to challenge that rival here. (5) MOMENT TO PONDER has excelled with Hall-of-Famer Condren in the bike. She should take a good piece of this. (3) THATGIRLISONFIRE has been much better in her last two starts, but she was well back of the choice last time. She can make the bottom of the ticket here.
Race 2
(8) PROFOUND PATIENCE has progressed in every start for Henriksen and she fits well vs. these; slight nod. (1) FRENCH MONI hinted at some ability last year and he looks solid in this spot, but, he could get over bet based on hi high profile connections. (2) STENHOUSE HANOVER's race two back would make him competitive here if he could replicate that effort. (4) AMANFORALLSEASONS showed little vs. a strong winner last time, but moving to a better post gives him a better chance to hit the ticket and he should be a big price.
Race 3
(10) SHEWEARSTHEPANTS was absolutely flying late in the mile here two starts back. If she can enter contention by the 3/4 pole, she could mow these down at a price. (8) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW is the 'now' filly, having won three straight easily. You have to have her on Pick 5 tickets. (2) KLOOF STREET has burned a lot of money in her last three starts, but she is capable with the right trip. (7) B FIFTEEN is still winless, but she has made the board more than 50% of the time; consider for exotics.
Race 4
(6) SNAPPY DRESSER flew home last time and wasn't far back of the 1 to 2 favorite at the wire. That was her best race yet and Mayotte is likely to drive more aggressively this time; top call. (7) NORTHERN SWIFT was first up in the same dash and hung in for third in an improved effort. She is in with a good chance here. (3) SHAREN HANOVER took big action in her debut, and then raced evenly. She has now missed three weeks; mixed signals with this one. (1) ONLY ONE STAR goes for trainer Gallucci here shipping in from the Maritimes and this isn't the toughest spot. The tote board may provide some clues to this filly's readiness following a month's break between races.
Race 5
(1) FONDUE steps onto the big track with a sharp winning debut in her pocket. The homebred should be right there vs. these if she can get away cleanly from the tricky inside post. (3) MISSLAROSE raced evenly in her debut in a quick race for the class. She stacks up well vs. these. (9) MAC AND PAY can provide a challenge at a price if he can stay trotting this time. (7) A DOOZY is another that rates highly if she can stay flat. Her May 18th mile here where she was parked a long way was quite good.
Race 6
(8) P L IDAHO has raced better and been much more aggressive in his last two starts. Cullen may take him right down the road here. (6) WINDSONG LIGHTNING faces his easiest field so far this year and he should be plenty fit now. He gets a good post and is an upset candidate vs. these. (7) DRACHAN HANOVER is another that drops to the lowest level who should wake up with a much better try here. (10) REEL couldn't get it done first-over last time, but he too drops and he could be heard from late in this mile.
Race 7
(1) MAJESTIC KAT was a solid winner vs. Grassroots company last week and she faces many of the same rivals here. I'll give her the nod, but note there are no Grassroots points on the line in this race. (3) CRYSTAL GUMDROP was out on the rim a long way last week, but she still kicked on late to grab second. She is coming around now; using. (2) ANNIKADABRA is another that seems to be rounding into form and these foes are well within her grasp when she is on her game. (9) HUDSONS YA YA put in a big effort last week, but the fractions were too fast. She should take a piece here.
Race 8
(3) JEWELONTHEBEACH N adds Lasix for her North American debut and she kicked home impressively in her June 13th qualifier for a trainer that typically sends them ready; top call. (1) BEACHES BE CRAZY raced tough first up last week and provided the cover for the winner. She could take this with a better trip. (5) LYONSPRINCESSRUBY was hung out by the eventual winner last week in a quick third 1/4, but she showed some grit and hung around for 2nd. She is another that should be right there vs. these. (7) ROCKN OPIUM broke while on the move at Grand River on Wednesday night as the big chalk. She has already won at this level over this track and she should like the return to the bigger oval.
Race 9
(3) STELLENBOSCH is in sharp form and Cullen is a good partner for her. She should be tough her racing on or near the front. (6) LOVES ANGEL put it all together last week and paced to an easy win. She should be the main threat to the choice. (2) WAY BETTOR has shown she can take air, battle and keep advancing and she may be a good price here coming off two starts at Grand River; using. (4) BILLIE MCJEAN should be passing a few of these late to take a share.
Race 10
(4) MACHAL JORDAN - a 'drop and pop' specialist, should handle this group if driven aggressively. (1) MACH PRIDE also faces easier and he should be pushing to get good position early here; using. (7) RESISTANCE FUTILE came close racing in this class last week and he should be closing late for a share here, too. (2) VELOCITY DRIVEN looked like he was going to roll right by the leaders last time, but he hung late. He will likely be coming late for a smaller share here. (8) COOL ROCK is another deep closer to consider for the bottom of exotic wagers.
