Race 1
(3) APHRO STAR moves from a claiming handicap - where he won - back into a conditioned claimer, which should make him very tough to beat here. (1) WINDSONG LORD couldn't keep up late in a very quick mile. He fits here and could trip out. (6) SOUTHWIND MONTY goes back into a claimer here which should wake him up. (4) FOUR CARD MAJOR improved sharply in his second start out of the Moreau barn. He could better this placing.
Race 2
(4) ATLANTA has hit her best stride, with three wins in her past four starts, including a Grand Circuit win; top call. (2) COURTNEY HANOVER has been facing the best on the continent recently and she is the main threat here. (1) ALLOVERAGAIN comes off a sharp win, but the top two will be tough for her to beat here. (7) MISTER KEARNS looked good winning last week, but this is a big step up; small share predicted.
Race 3
(4) WILD WEST has a pattern of winning/losing in his last four starts and if he can get his move started earlier here, he could keep that trend going. (6) PHIL THE THRILL will take action following decent efforts in the Metro elimination and consolation and he fits well here, but beware taking too low of a price on him. (3) BURN OUT HANOVER figures and he should get a good trip racing near the lead here; using. (2) TOPVILLE CHROME is in solid form and he is another to consider for the exotics here.
Race 4
(9) THINK AGAIN gets McNair here off the Pereira claim and he will likely be blasting early this time; nod. (7) LISVINNIE is in good form now and he will pop for a win one of these weeks; using. (2) ANTAR PHIL can threaten here with a better trip. (8) JIMMY BE GOOD is interesting dropping in for a tag showing improving from. He could be priced to win here.
Race 5
(4) LADY GREY was let go at a price last time and she took a new life's mark while scoring; call to repeat. (7) MILLERS SONG faces easier here and she should be right there vs. these. (1) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY is an obvious contender after being beat only a nose by the choice, but his 1 for 31 record makes him hard to play at a low price. (3) UPVOTE HANOVER can take a smaller share here racing near the front.
Race 6
(4) SURPRISE HANOVER won last time he was in this class and this is a logical spot for him to take his fifth win of the season. (2) UF BETTORS HANOVER is worth a look here moving inside and with Hudon taking the return drive. (8) THORN IN YOUR SIDE drops and he could take these a long way on the front end; using. (7) BROOKDALE SONNY is another class-dropper that could sneak onto the ticket here.
Race 7
(4) THE POWER OF MANY was caught late only by one that closed a storm in the lane. I'll single her in this second start on Lasix, thinking she can last against these. (6) DEUCE DEUCE DEUCE races well in this class, but he needs some cover to be able to pass them all. He should at least hit the ticket here. (2) AMICUS is in solid form and he gets a positive driver change here. He's a threat. (8) GIRL DRAMA is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics here coming off a break.
Race 8
(3) IDEAL JET drops and adds Lasix here. He should be tough. (2) ROCKIN FINISH also takes a big drop and you can put a line through the Flamboro start where he had broken equipment. Toss him in the late Pick 4. (8) SPEEDLING won last time in this class which is an angle that sometimes produces some nice priced winners. (5) HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE can be a pace threat again and hang on for a share.
Race 9
(4) NORTHERN OATH was a winner the last time he faced conditioned foes. I'll give him the nod in a race with many possibilities. (3) WILLIE WONKA gets a huge driver change here that is impossible to ignore; using. (8) MR SHANAHAN is one with the best recent form in here so it makes sense to use him in Pick 4 tickets. (2) QUADRANGLE is another that is in with a shot here if he behaves.
Race 10
(2) TWOMACSONESHADOW was nailed only late by a tripped-out rival last time. He has a big shot to wire these. (1) DONTCALLME DUDE is an obvious threat off his Mohawk debut, but his vet scratch due to sickness and time missed are areas of concern. (4) REDHOT ROMEO, (7) BETTOR JIN, and (9) AMERICAN SPORTSMAN all drop from non-winners of three to non-winners of two as does the choice. Consider all of these when making Tri and Super bets.
