Mohawk: Horses to watch from Oct. 9 - Oct. 13

Ken Walters|Oct 14, 2014

Thursday, October 9

NOBLE JILLY (NW2FM) was widest and fastest in the flow through the lane and flew home quickly to earn a look in next.

FASHION GODDESS (NW2) was in the pocket second best by a huge margin at every call to the odds-on winner.

FLOAT ON BY (NW2/2YOF) was handy through early stretch traffic and finished fast to nail the speed.

INNER PEACE (NW2) hit his best stride late but was moving fastest of all at the wire in last outing.

Friday, October 10

SIR LBS Z TAM (NW6000FM) finished with a full head of steam finding a route between horses from 5th over and had aim in the last strides but was nailed by a few losing it all by a half length.

SOMEWHERE FANCY (NW2) was buried on the rail going into the lane, found room and charged home missing it all by neck.

SOMETHININCREDIBLE (NW15000FM) made a bid wide move into the lane, took a head lead in the lane but could not last at 13-1.

ITS NO SECRET (NW9000FM) finished fast but had too far to come in last outing.

Saturday, October 11

DUC DORLEANS (PRF) swung wide into the lane, settled, hit overdrive and closed a ton (:26) but came up a neck short at 14-1.

CAMAES FELLOW (NW16500) was sent to the top, set a good lcip and dug in gamely but was headed on the wire by an amazing rally from the back of the pack.

CURATOR (NW8000) put in a tough luck trip in last. Got parked from post 10, raced uncovered, challenged to the final turn before tiring.

ROETHBLISSBERGER (NW8000) was parked to the lead and under duress from the quarter to the wire, gutted it out to the last step when a fresher foe made a late burst to nail him on the wire.

Monday, October 13

MAJOR HERBIE (NW8000) was used to the lead, set the early pace under duress from two challengers at the same time, resisted one, yielded to the other, pulled and challenged the new leader, rallied game all the way but was bested by the much fresher faster finishing winner.

GIRL DRAMA (CLMHCP12/15000) finished full of trot from an impossible spot but was moving easily fastest of all at the end.

UPFRONTLUCKYCAROL (NW14000) also finished full of trot from an impossible spot in her last outing.

WALKS OF LIFE (NW2) may have gotten it all if he had stayed in the pocket to the lane.
