Mohawk: Horses to watch from June 15 to June 19

Ken Walters|Jun 21, 2015

Monday, June 15

CENTURY BEHEMOTH (NW1/3YO) left, tucked, came uncovered, rallied to the lead, tired, could not last. Could get luckier in next if a bit tighter.

PRESCOTTS HOPE (CLMHCP15/20000) went down the road at own clip and drew away easily.

IDEAL SHADOW (CLMHCP25/35000) came wide, rallied well and made it interesting as the even money favorite began to grow leg weary.

RAVE ON (CLM12000) came wide heading home, closed strong getting outkicked only by the odds-on favorite.

DRAFT SEELSTER (NW1/3YO) was parked uncovered all the way, challenged the middle half before tiring. Trainer will get him tighter and better luck is right on the horizon.

Tuesday, June 16

LUCK O THE IRISH (NW2) came wide into the lane, rallied gamely, had aim in the last steps but was nailed. The luck of the Irish wasn't quite enough. A little racing luck may suit him better in next.

P L IDAHO (OntS) won easily on the front end and should be able to best this kind again.

UNIQUE BARAN (CLMHCP8/10000) beaten favorite left, tucked, pulled and lost cover, grind up and battled to the end but was nailed on the wire.

GIRL DRAMA (CLMHCP12/15000) won going away and can take another versus similar.

MR CARROTTS (OntS) broke in the early going and had to take back, got back into the flow, closed well but 4th over was too much to ask. Beaten favorite need only stay flat to atone.

Thursday, June 18

CINCINNATI MISS (NW1/3YO) went down the road on a speed tiring night and held all out to earn the nod. Winning favorite can take another.

SO RAVEN (NW1/3YOF) went down the road and was nailed in the last steps. Can get the victory if a little tighter in next.

MUSCLE BABY DOLL (OntSS) won going away in last as the odds-on favorite and has to be considered the one to beat in next outing.

DELIRIUM (CLM15000FM) was parked, found a tuck, sat to the final turn, tipped, went wide and closed strongly and had aim but was a length short at the wire.

Friday, June 19

CASH FOR GOLD (NW3) trotted up a storm through the lane but had much too far to come.

DELIGHTFUL HILL (NW2FM) brushed to command coming to the half and proved to be as good as the bettors believed she was.

BOLI (NW2) made the lead, yielded, retook, yielded again, sat pocket and made her third move a winning one as she edged by the leader.

TESSA SEELSTER (NW2FM) put up quick fractions and won impressively.

LETS BE HONEST (NW2) was moving fastest through the but 5th over and 10 lengths off the pace was too big a gap to make up.
