Mohawk: Horses to watch from July 13 - July 18

Ken Walters|Jul 20, 2017

Thursday, July 13

BLAMEITONTHEWHISKEY (NW1) romped on the front end on a night when speed was failing.

STREET BOY (2YO) left, broke, recovered to the rear, made up good ground and closed in gamely.

MACH MAJORETTE (CLM15000FM) rallied all out and gamely from far back and should get the photo op soon.

WHERE ARE WE (CKN15000FM) was nowhere to be seen heading home, followed and kept coming in game finish.

Friday, July 14

WIGGLE IT J (NW15000FM) sat in to the lane, found room and closed well.

ALEXIS FAITH (2YOF) brushed to the lead passing the half and proved to be much the best.

HILL OF A COLT (NW4) left, yielded, let the speed settle, brushed and pulled away from the field.

REGAL LUCK (NW10000FM) trailed to the final turn, got moving and closed best of all but had too far to come.

Saturday, July 15

MACH PRIDE (NW6700) was used hard to the top, met determined pressure twice and tired.

MR WIGGLE PANTS (NW4100) rushed to the top, set a pressed pace and was an impressive much the best.

FRANCOURT (NW5) broke wildly at the start, recovered far back. Began his rally, went wide and was out there a long way, loomed passing the third panel and tired. Beaten favorite will win if he stays flat.

SHADOW MARGEAUX (NW9000) left, yielded, sat in, had a lot of traffic through the stretch, found clearance a few steps too late.

Monday, July 17

KAMERAN HANOVER (NW2) was parked the mile, raced uncovered, challenged the last three-eighths and tired. Beaten favorite will atone with any improvement in his trip.

FRANSCHOEK (NW2FM) was looped off the gate, tucked, pulled near the half, took the lead, battled the last quarter and could not last over a tiring track.

KATIES BEACH (NW3000FM) was pressed twice on front end score and will take another one soon.

DRACHAN HANOVER (NW2500) tired in wire to wire effort and could improve immediately if tightened a bit or if the track is more favorable.

Tuesday, July 18

BIG RICH (NW8000) had far to come from 4th over but finished resolutely and picked off all but the winner.

P L JERICO (NW4200) was wire to wire and wrapped up through the lane as lukewarm favorite.

IM THE PIED PIPER (CLMHCP10/15000)well bet beaten favorite trailed to the third panel, began his move passing the marker, swung wide into the lane and finished best of all from an impossible spot.

SUMMIT CITY TURBO (NW4200) sat in buried in the last turn, found room, came on late and will have better look soon.
