Mohawk: Horses to watch from August 22 - August 26

Ken Walters|Aug 28, 2013

Thursday, August 22

FLANAGAN MEMORY (OntSS) Made a huge recovery and an amazing stretch rally to come back from what appeared to be the most costly of breaks in last and can continue winning.

EMBASSY SEELSTER (NW2FM) Stepped it up through the lane a bit too late but put a late scare in the top two as she breathed stretch fire in last.

LIKEATHUNDERBOLT (CLM8000) Looked like he had a lot more to give as he searched for racing room through the stretch and would be no surprise in next race or two.

DOUKNOWWHEREURGOIN (NW1/2YO) Went down the road on a night when speed was getting nailed and won impressively while bearing out. Should be able to tak another.

Friday, August 23

YOUR SO VAIN (NW3) Had no shot from the back of the pack but rushed home quickly through the lane and the beaten favorite may atone in next.

PUTNAM MACKENZIE (NW8000FM) Sat to the rear to the lane, tipped, wheeled wide and hit overdrive mid stretch but it was a bit too late.

WAASMULA (NW14500FM) Challenged uncovered and closed easily tons the best. Should step up and take another.

LOCAL ART (NW3FM) Yielded twice by the third panel to sit pocket, tried to launch a third bid in the lane as she angled wide but hung in the late stages. Beaten favorite was asked to be a bit too much and can get a win in next race or two.

Saturday, August 24

BEACH GALL (GREAT LADY) Flew home in grand style in quick mile and should be right in the thick of the final when they turn for home.

TELLITLIKEITIS (METRO) Got in tight through the lane slipping inside a couple of pylons through the stetch while having enough to make a late effort if he every cleared.

SPARKY MARK (NW25000) Rallied well from back of the pack coming through traffic to the wire.

MACH DREAMER (NW14000) Was locked up tight to the lane, angled out, slipped wide, found a wide path and finished fast but had too far to come.

Monday. August 26

TYMAL OH SO NICE (CLM15000) Was rallying for more in the late stages but was forced to take up when the hole closed.

CATCH THE DREAM (MW15500) Rallied well from an impossible spot but had too far to come.

OPEN ALL DOORS (NW8100) Followed wide into yhe stretch and finished with a full head of steam to just miss in last.

GRANDE SEELSTER (NW5000) Blew by the field with powerful rush and should take another.
