Mohawk: Horses to watch from August 1 - August 5

Ken Walters|Aug 08, 2013

Thursday, August 1

REFLECTION HANOVER (2YOF) She was much the best last week and showed no reason to indicate she should not continue to impress.

DAPPER DENZIL (CLM10000) Was absolutely buried in last to the lane, slipped out, angled out and finished strongly.

SOMETHININCREDIBLE (2YOF) Chased the odds on favorite home in strong 2nd best effort in most recent and should win her share of races.

BATTLE RIVER STORM (CLM10000) At 111-1 it was a bit of a shock to see him ralling wide and fast to miss by a short neck. Next time out it won't be that much of a surprise to see him coming.

Friday, August 2

MARQUISE DE SARAH (NW3FM) Yielded twice along the way to sit piocket to the odds on favorite, searched forever for room to argue but found freedom much too late.

POWER MOVE (NW2) Finished full of trot from the moon in last passing a bunch of foes to the wire.

MIA SEELSTER (GIRLSNIGHT) Rushed wide to the third panel, loomed for the win but flattened late.

LIVE TO DREAM (NW5000FM) Tucked early, pulled uncovered to the half, rushed to the leader, challenged to mid lane, put her away and drew off with such ease she has to be in line for another.

Saturday, August 3

ROCKIN WITH DEWEY (NW1) Finished strongly in mad dash to the wire and should be tough in next few.

UP THE CREDIT (PRF) Sat pocket ready to pounce but never cleared.

JJ SHARK (NW14000) Left, challenged, could not get by, battled ferociously to the final turn and gave way in tough luck adventure.

WARRAWEE NONSUCH (NW3) Closed a ton to win going away with suck determination and speed that a follow up wins seems probable.

Monday, August 5

ASLAN (NW5000) Was looking for room in the late stages, had to take up when a lane started to develop but closed just as quickly.

ALITTLEAINTENOUGH (NW2) Rallied gamely up the inside to get 3rd but had much too far to come.

LUCK BE WITHYOU (2YO) Was a shocker at 19-1 in last but drew off easy enough to indicate another one is right around the corner.

CHARLIE IS A JOKER (NW14000) Went down the road and proved to be an impressive, easy victor in last and looms as a repeat winner
