Mohawk: Horses to watch from Apr. 9 - Apr. 13

Ken Walters|Apr 15, 2015

Thursday, April 9

LOVELY ERIN (NW1FM) went down the road and held with authority from the 10-hole.

FROSTY DELIGHT (CLMHCP15/20000FM) closed strongly from an impossible spot in last outing.

WIZARD OF OSNEY (NW2) broke before and after the stasrt, took back, settled, rallied second over and closed strongly.

WHITEGLOVES (NW2) took the lead, yielded, retook, set a steady clip and was nailed on the wire by the odds-on favorite who made an amazing recovery from early trouble.

ONEWAYTOSANTEFE (NW1) tucked twice by the half to hold pocket, pulled uncovered to the third panel, took aim and rolled by. Well bet winning favorite has to earn respect on way amounted to three-move win.

Friday, April 10

NINE LIVES HANOVER (NW3900FM) was parked the mile, challenged, took over heading home, tired but gutted out second place finish.

ADDISON BAY (NW3900FM) was parked from the 10-hole past the half for the lead, set the pace under constant pressure and tired.

SHADYS M THREE (NW6000FM) closed a ton from the far side of the moon to win impressively on a speed favoring night.

PINOT GRIGIO (NW2FM) was far back at the half, rallied to cover, raced third over late in the final turn, closed gamely, had a chance in deep stretch but faltered. Could have been serious wake-up threat with better trip.

Saturday, April 11

NIRVANA SEELSTER (NW18000) earned his oats with hard used victory in last when parked to the lead and pressed twice along the way.

RAMBLINGGAMBLINMAN (NW18000) finished full of pace from an impossible spot in last with last panel of :26 1/5 and is alway worth a look.

PUSH BACK (NW18000) was parked from the get go, challenged uncovered to the 5/8 before backing up.

BODY BALANCE (NW8000) took the lead, yielded and was shuffled, tipped heading home with good rally at 58-1.

WHOSURPAL (NW7500) followed wide from way back in last and finished well but had too far to come. Do not ignore the late speed.

Monday, April 13

READ THE PROPOSAL (NW2) finished full of pace and just missed.

CREDIT REFUSAL (NW2) tucked the pocket, got shuffled back, found clearance heading home with strong finish.

BUCKSHOT AUSTIN (CLMHCP8/12000) finished fast from a long way back in last.

CRAFTY MASTER (NW4) was parked the mile in last and gamed out the win at 38-1.

FRIDAYNIGHTFLIGHT (NW4500) was parked the mile uncovered, challenged in the middle half at 81-1.
