(7) DIAMONDTOOTHGERTIE was too far back last time to make an impact late. A better drive gets it done here. (1) NASTY RUMOUR had speed to offer both early and late last week. She is a big threat here. (2) P L KAHLUAA is a contender here, but she will likely be overbet off her last start and she could be prepping for a future OSS race here; your call. (9) ROCKN OPIUM raced tough to win in this class last time and Roy has been heating up lately. She can't be tossed in this spot.
Race 2
(2) PURE COUNTRY turned her season around with Macdonald driving her very aggressively. She is the one to catch here. (1) WRANGLER MAGIC is always tough on her home track in these big stakes; using. (4) CALL ME QUEEN BE can be closer early here which puts her in the picture. (5) L A DELIGHT can be used underneath here, but is hard to like on top based on recent efforts.
Race 3
(7) LADY SHADOW is the queen of this castle until she is dethroned; top call. (3) DARLINONTHEBEACH tuned up for this with a solid win last week and she should be even better tonight; using underneath. (5) FROST DAMAGE BLUES will be coming late and her chances improve if there is any front-end battling here. (8) SANDBETWEENURTOES is sharp and she should share.
Race 4
(7) MACH DEJA VU comes off a gritty first up effort in an OSS Gold race and he should be tough here returning to the conditioned ranks. (6) SOUTHWIND DEISEL is a different horse racing out of Cullen's barn. Toss him on multi-race tickets. (9) XTERNAL has been on a good roll lately and is worth a look here. (3) ALL IT TAKES has developed an impressive late kick but he faces much tougher here; small share predicted.
Race 5
(11) KENDALL SEELSTER was huge beating the previously-unbeaten Percy Blue Chip last week. She will be very tough to beat here if she can work out a reasonable trip. (6) CARDIFF is improving every start and she's worth including here at a price. (7) PLAY THE BELL should be better this week in her second start back coming off sickness. (2) DELANEY R was close last time she raced in sires stakes. She too merits a look here.
Race 6
(3) MAJOR ATHENS drops into a likely spot here; top call. (4) TONY SOPRANO was first up vs. a very tough winner last time. He should go better here. (5) DIA MONDE is another that should be prominent on the class drop; using. (2) O NARUTAC PERFETTO steps up, but he is razor-sharp and he will be coming late here.
Race 7
(4) WIGGLE IT J drops to a level where she should get put into play early and she could control things here. (1) FORVER LIZA takes a bigger drop and she will be the likely chalk, but post 1 may not be the best for her and the choice should offer a better price. (7) HOT SPOT HANOVER comes off a solid try vs. lesser. She can grab a slice here. (2) SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR is sharp and she should close for a piece of this.
Race 8
The two mares, (3) HANNELORE HANOVER and (7) PASITHEA FACE N, look best here in this Maple Leaf Trot elimination. Slight nod to the former based on post position. (6) JL CRUZE should be a pace threat and he should stick around for at least a share. (1) HOMICIDE HUNTER is in solid form but these are tougher; small share predicted.
Race 9
(7) RESOLVE is simply the best trotter on the continent right now and his quest for a second straight Maple Leaf Trot win will be hard to deny. (2) MARION MARAUDER looks next best, but has proven no match for the choice so far. (5) MUSICAL RHYTHM is on top of his game now and he is the best local hope. (4) MAMBO LINDY rarely misses the board. He could better this prediction.
Race 10
(4) KIWI FOCUS N was two strides short of registering a huge upset last week. She is one of the sharpest horses on the grounds right now; top call. (2) BOURBON SEELSTER was just behind the choice last week. She rates highly here. (5) WANDA BAYAMA is worth a look on the class drop here. (8) P L HURRICANE was perfectly tripped out to win last week but she isn't out of this.
Race 11
(6) NIPS BEACH GIRL has been on fire since joining trainer Budd's barn. I'll stick with her despite the class rise. (7) BAD NIGHT MARE closed impressively to win in this class last time; using. (1) A PLUS raced tough first up last week. She is worthy of Pick 4 inclusion here. (2) PRETTY HOT and (4) KATIES BEACH are both best used underneath here.
