Race 1
(2) TEREM A NEW ONE - a $29K Forest City sale buy - obviously has speed - he paced a final 1/4 in 27 flat in his first qualifier and a third quarter in 27 flat in his most recent one. I'll give him the nod here. (4) WESTERN PASSAGE - bought for $80K at Harrisburg - looks well-prepped and is the obvious danger. (10) ROOTIN TOOTIN is worth a look off his decent debut effort. (4) MY TEEL IDOL - a homebred full-brother to decent local horse First Car is worth a look here in his debut.
Race 2
(5) DREAM TOGETHER was a Grand Circuit winner in only her 5th start last year. If she is fully-cranked for this sophomore debut, she should be tough vs. these. (8) READY ANY TIME faced the best older trotting mare on the continent in her last two, so she should appreciate the easier company here; using. (4) MOONSTAR MISSION didn't get into the race last week at all. Perhaps moving inside will help him get positioned better at the start. (1) SETANTA can pass a few of these late for a share.
Race 3
(5) COURTLY CHOICE - Betterthancheddar's 1/2-brother - has been impressive in both qualifiers and he will likely go off second choice here. I'll give him the nod. (8) GOTH HANOVER - a $45K Harrisburg purchase - is a sibling to five winners from five his dam has produced so far and he will take plenty of action coming off the fastest qualifier for top connections. (3) DANCIN DOUG was bought for $95K in Lexington and he has an obvious high turn of speed. Don't dismiss him too easily here. (6) DENVER SEELSTER is another that has shown a good turn of foot and he should make the ticket here.
Race 4
(3) ONYOURMARKNATAVA drops back to a class where she has fared decently and she may be a good price here; slight nod. (7) BIG TSUNAMI steps up off a lifetime-best score. She should threaten here from close range. (4) SHES A MANIAC debuts for Cullen, who has made a few good claims this year. Toss her in your multi-race tickets. (5) RIDE AWAY SHARK figures to follow along near the front and stick for another smaller share.
Race 5
(8) SHE LIGHTS OUT has been involved in two quick miles, now she drops a level and she should be plenty fit making her 3rd start of the year; slight nod. (4) MS MAC N CHEESE drops and gets Roy for a second drive. He has struck with several winners in similar situations at this meet. Expect sharp improvement here. (7) OUR HOT MAJORETTE hasn't raced since June 2nd, but she won in a similar class that night. I will bet against her to win considering the 4-week gap. (1) BUTTERMILK HANOVER is much-improved in the Boyd barn. She is worth a flyer here if she is a big price.
Race 6
(4) APRIL ROSE takes a big class drop here and Hensley will likely look to take her right down the road. (6) TOTALLY RIPPED adds Lasix for his second start in the new barn. He could wake up big time here. (9) FINISH LINE had a tough trip last week, but post does him no favors here, either. Another smaller share is likely. (2) GRANA PADANNO comes off a sharp win, but these are tougher. Toss him on the bottom of Tri and Super bets.
Race 7
(6) WRANGLER MAGIC comes off two solid tries vs. the best older pacing mare in North America. She should beat these. (2) P L HURRICANE is in with an upset chance here if she can land in the pocket at the start. (9) WITCH DALI was behind the choice twice in the Roses Are Red, but she rates highly here and she should grab a slice. (5) SANDBETWEENURTOES had no visible excuse last week. She is likely to finish on the fringes again here.
Race 8
(7) WHO SAID NOT TO made a very impressive swoop to win last week and he is likely to be a better price here; call to repeat. (3) SOME ATTITUDE is sure to take lots of action coming off a narrow loss in the North America Cup Consolation, but he is no lock here and he will likely be overbet. (5) IDEAL WHEEL is another that will get lots of attention at the windows, but he has been very disappointing so far this year. Maybe Lasix is the answer? (9) FANCOURT comes off a quick win, but he tripped out that night and from post 9, it's unlikely he will get that kind of a trip here; small share predicted.
Race 9
(7) DUNVEGAN DON has developed a strong late kick and there should be a solid pace to chase here; top call. (3) MAJESTIC PRESENCE raced okay vs. the toughest older mares around. She fits here and she should be a threat. (5) STREAMSONG keeps coming close. He'll get there one of these weeks. (1) LMC MASS OAK should get a decent trip leaving from the inside here and take a share.
Race 10
(1) LAY LADY LAY faces much easier here and she gets McNair back. She can get back on track vs. these. (5) DAZZLING ROCKETTE is racing very well for Hensley right now and must be considered in this spot. (3) REGAL LUCK will be closing late, but she may not get past the top two. (4) LIGHTS GO OUT is another that likely will be passing some of these late to make the ticket.
Race 11
(7) WASAGA BEACH gets Roy for the second straight week here; angle play. (4) SHES YOUR DADDY has missed some time, but she brings solid form in from Florida; using. (8) MISS COCO LUCK has seen better days, but she can threaten at this level if her trip is decent. (2) YOUR MY SECRET keeps taking shares but she is win-shy and will likely finish in one of the lower exotic rungs again. (3) JORDIES HOPE can make the ticket here off a following trip near the front.
