Race 1
(7) STENHOUSE HANOVER qualified fast enough on May 8th over an off track to make him a top contender here, but he does have some obvious gait issues at times. Perhaps trainer Keeling has him figured out now; slight nod. (8) NORTHERN MAJOR is now 0 for 12, but his sophomore debut wasn't bad and he could take these a long way if he makes front quickly at the start. (3) NEW SHERIFF shows a similar pattern as the trotter Odd Ball, whom this trainer/driver won two straight with at this meet; using. (6) TO HILL AND BACK goes for a trainer that specializes in young trotters. She's worth a look for the exotics here.
Race 2
(3) OK JASMINE flew late last time to break her maiden at a big price; call to repeat. (8) SUNSET FILLY is another that finished well last week and she could be sent harder here at the start, which would improve her chances. (4) HOLD IT HANOVER gets a better post to work from here, which should see her in contention earlier in the mile; using. (2) SHEWEARSTHEPANTS took her mark here last year and she is another that could get the job done in this very contentious dash.
Race 3
(8) DANCER HALL showed a lot of potential last fall in beating elders several times. He looks ready to resume his winning ways and picks up Filion here; top call. (6) CHAPTER HEAVEN looked impressive in breaking her maiden, but she didn't beat much and if the choice is ready, she will have her hands full with him. (9) DELCREST MAGICSTAR goes for connections that can bring a bomb in when least expected; consider for exotics. (5) ICE HOCKEY HANOVER hung late in the mile last time, but he is capable of taking a small share here.
Race 4
(6) THE JOY LUCK CLUB parlayed a good trip into a sharp victory in her first start on this circuit. There are some tougher ones in here, but she could be up to it. (3) ISLAY N won last time she raced in this class. She should be prominent throughout here. (2) ON THE MINUTE MARK has woke up in her past two starts and she is hard to toss here coming off a sharp win. (1) SANDY WIN has been racing decently at the Big M. She can take a share here.
Race 5
(6) ONYOURMARKNATAVA drops, gets a better post and goes for hot connections here; top call. (9) SHEZAREALDEAL steps up off a sharp win; using. (5) JUMP JIVE AND JAM took her lifetime mark here last year and she is a good bomb to consider for multi-race tickets leaving from a better post here. (4) LIGHTS GO OUT is still winless this year, but she likely closes for a share here.
Race 6
(1) SIX BEFORE SEVEN couldn't reach a loose leader last time, but he continues to race well and there should be some speed to chase in here. (3) VINCENT VAN GO gets a much better post returning quickly here and back in for a tag. He is in with a decent shot. (6) BUGATTI was an easy winner in this class last time and he has to be strongly considered for Pick 4 tickets. (2) E L WILD SPIRIT steps back up after taking advantage of a slowing late pace; small share predicted.
Race 7
(8) SAYITALL BB steps up following a gritty uncovered win vs. lesser last week. She could get a better trip here and the price should be much better; slight nod. (6) STYLISH BEACHWHERE took her mark here last year when winning several races at the meet. She looks ready to make an immediate impact; using. (3) MATTJESTIC TEMPO was hard-used early to make front last week. She could be much closer here if given an easier trip. (5) MISCHIEVIOUSGIRLS steps up again for hot connections and while I think she will take only a smaller share here, another win wouldn't be a total shock either.
Race 8
(7) DAWN SHOOTER has raced well in both starts for her new barn. She could be a great alternative to expected chalk (4) ROSELILY here. The latter has disappointed in her last two starts with no apparent excuses. She rates highly in this field, but is tough for me to single off her past two efforts. (1) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA remarkably has 10 seconds in 14 starts this year and has only missed the board once. Respect her consistency. (9) BUTTERMILK HANOVER will be winding up from far back here and she should pass a few of these to take a share.
Race 9
(5) SANDBETWEENURTOES couldn't go with the likes of Lady Shadow in her most recent start, but returning to Mohawk should get her back on track here. (8) WRANGLER MAGIC was a winner last time she raced in this class on this circuit; using. (3) REQUEST FOR PAROLE rarely misses the board and she should make the ticket here. (1) BERNADETTE is another that consistently finishes in the top four. She too should be in the Super at the wire.
Race 10
(6) KAYS SHADOW had an impossible trip last time when she was bet heavily despite moving up in class and starting from the outside. Post and class relief here make her my top pick. (7) BAD AS LEADER was facing much better at the end of last year. If she is tight enough, she should be right there vs. these. (8) BADLANDS DELIGHT and (5) MEA LILLY MARK are two price horses coming in from Flamboro with decent form that should be considered for Tri and Super plays.
Race 11
(3) SHES A MANIAC couldn't hold off a sharp class dropper last week, but she should take this group a long way on the lead. (7) NAUGHTY LADY B plunges in class after a tough trip from the 10 hole. She is a must-use for me in the late Pick 4. (1) TOPVILLE CHEETAH retains Roy here which makes here interesting; using. (4) WILDCAT MAGIC rarely wins, but she is in solid form and she should make the ticket here. (5) AINSLEYNOELLE couldn't capitalize when the inside opened for her in the lane last week. She's likely to pace the same kind of effort here.
