Race 1
(5) ISLAY N lacked room at the most critical part of the race last week. She could get the same trip here except for a first-over winner keeping her pinned in the entire stretch. I'll give her the nod this week. (6) LADY CRAZY flew home at big odds and edged the choice last week. The price could still be okay here and she is clearly a sharp contender. (1) ART ANGEL BABY should be the pacesetter again and she could last all the way if she can steal a breather. (2) DANCING SHADOWS K is always around the money and she should be right there tonight, too, in a contentious opener.
Race 2
(10) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL almost lasted on the engine last week. She could take these all the way despite starting from the far outside. (2) FORK passed five horses in the final 1/4 last week now he returns to a track where he has done well in the past. He could contend in this suspect field. (9) CLASS ME NICE could trip out near the front here and upset if he leaves hard. (5) SEVERUS HANOVER can stick around for a share after leaving in the top flight.
Race 3
(5) REQUEST FOR PAROLE lost to a rail skimmer last week after doing some heavy lifting first up. She has a recency edge on many of these and she may find a live helmet to follow this time; slight nod. (1) EXHILARATED always comes to play and she can race effectively from anywhere. She is a hard one to leave out. (3) SANDBETWEENURTOES has raced poorly off breaks before and I'd be leery of taking a short price on her not having raced in two weeks. (4) BERNADETTE couldn't advance while racing first up last time, but she can share here, especially if she gets a covered up trip.
Race 4
(9) BRINGHOME THEBLUE showed nothing last week leaving from the 10-hole. He gets to drop to the bottom class here and he could blast off the gate and lead these on a merry chase this time. Note that his life's mark was taken here last summer. (2) TOTALLY KISSED was bought privately by trainer/driver Cullen for himself following his most recent start. It would be no surprise if this one made an immediate impact. (4) SHOCK N ROCK was flying up the inside late on Monday night to just miss. He should be a factor here. (1) EVASIVE CARD SHARK looked more like Cams Card Shark last time he raced at this level. Keep him on multi-race tickets.
Race 5
(6) ST JAMES GATE has never lost a race when he has stayed flat. He has looked good in his last two wins, so I'll stick with him here. (5) WIN THE DAY comes off a sharp win and keeps the hottest driver on the circuit; using. (8) STAR PHOTO has been racing in good company at Flamboro. He is in with a chance here, especially if he leaves in the top flight. (1) GRANA PADANNO should take a smaller share here off a following trip.
Race 6
(1) LIGHTS GO OUT was more aggressive last time and she hung on gamely for third late. She could be good for a win here despite the move up, but, she doesn't typically hold her good form for very long. (5) NIPS BEACH GIRL has been facing tougher with some success. She should be right there vs. these. (4) PRETTY HOT is always around the money in this class. She could take this with a bit of racing luck. (8) CALL IT COURAGE rarely wins, but she is a good one to use on the bottom of vertical wagers.
Race 7
(4) DANA SALAAM was on her way to a win last time when the leader broke, hooked wheels with her and took her out of the race. She may get bet heavily if footage of that race gets played on pre-game shows, but she is a top contender nonetheless. (6) SHOW SOME LEG likes this track and she should wake up racing at this level. (1) SING LIKE AN ANGEL improved when racing at this level off a break last time. She should make the ticket at a minimum here. (7) ONYOURMARKNATAVA comes off a dismal effort, but the class drop here could perk her up.
Race 8
(3) DUNVEGAN DON takes a big class drop here which should produce a much better effort; top call. (7) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO also drops and he should contend if he can stay flat this time. (1) DEWEYKEEPUMNWHY has raced well at this class recently; using. (2) LMC MASS OAK is another that has raced decently at this level that is in with a decent chance. This looks like a 'spread' leg of the late Pick 4.
Race 9
(1) DEWAR AND SODA was lights out racing out of trainer Moreau's barn for the first time following a private sale on March 30th. Call to repeat. (6) KIWI FOCUS N beat a good field most recently and she is in top form; too. Toss her in the late Pick 4. (5) MATTJESTIC TEMPO added Lasix, moved up and won easily off the claim. These are tougher, but she isn't out of this. (7) CAYO LOCO is always passing rivals. She must be considered when betting Tris and Supers.
Race 10
(2) CALL ME MAYBE's final 1/4 from last week may not look like anything special on paper, but she was really moving once tipped off excess cover. She meets a field she can beat here if she is within striking range as they turn for home. (6) WHISTYS PARADISE took her life's mark here last year and she changes barns here and gets Henry back. He drives her well; using. (5) AINSELYNOELLE should perk up with the class drop here and she figures to be sent hard off the gate to get good position. She's the third one I will use in the cash leg of the late Pick 4. (7) AMAZING CONTROL should be passing some of these late to take a share. (4) WIGGLE IT J is worth a look on the barn change.
