Mohawk: Field set for the North America Cup

Post positions were drawn on Tuesday afternoon for Saturday’s $1,000,000 North America Cup Final at Mohawk Racetrack. The card will feature six stakes races and two guaranteed pick four wagers. The $100,000 all-stakes pick four will start in race seven and conclude with the North America Cup for 3-year-old pacers (field below).

Other stakes on the card include the C$272,100 Goodtimes final for 3-year-old trotters. That race will feature a likely heavy favorite in Trixton. Trained and driven by Jimmy Takter, the colt has won four of five races this year and set a 1:51 2/5 lifetime mark.
In the C$266,000 Armbro Flight for older trotting mares, the undefeated-in-2014 Perfect Alliance will go head-to-head with fellow elimination winner D’Orsay and last year’s Horse of the Year Bee A Magician.
Older pacing mares will square off in the C$330,000 Roses Are Red final. Perennial champion Anndrovette will have her work cut out for her against Yagonnakissmeornot and current divisional leader Somwherovrarainbow.
The C$457,500 Fan Hanover for 3-year-old pacing fillies presents a wide-open betting field. Elimination winners Uffizi Hanover and Table Talk will start in posts two and three.
