Mo Forza to skip Dubai, be pointed to Del Mar

ARCADIA, Calif. – Mo Forza, who won three consecutive graded stakes for 3-year-olds on turf in November and December, will have an early spring vacation and will not be sent to Dubai later this month.
Trainer Peter Miller said Friday that Mo Forza will be pointed to the Del Mar summer meeting. Mo Forza was under consideration for the $6 million Dubai Turf at Meydan Racecourse on March 28.
“He’s not training up to par,” Miller said. “His energy level is not as good as normal.

“He had a hard campaign, and this might be a good time to give him 45 or 60 days off. It seems like the right time.”
Mo Forza won the Grade 2 Twilight Derby, Grade 1 Hollywood Derby, and Grade 2 Mathis Brothers Mile in consecutive starts in November and December before finishing ninth after a wide trip in the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 25.
In Dubai, Miller plans to start Ghoul and perhaps Texas Wedge in the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint on turf, Gray Magician in the Group 2 Godolphin Mile, and Captain Scotty in the Group 1 Golden Shaheen for sprinters.
