Lucy Got Lucky will be making her first start for Diodoro. She is coming off of a fourth-place finish as the even-money favorite in a $12,500 claiming race at Hollywood Park and was claimed out of the race by owner Alfredo Vargas, who shipped her to Diodoro’s barn at Northlands. Lucy Got Lucky has tactical speed and used it to win a $10,000 claiming race going 1 1/16 miles at Hollywood June 11 last out.Driven by Seattle is an obvious threat to repeat for trainer James Hoffman.
