Taylor Ejdys/Coglianese Photo Mitzman (9) was promoted to first with the disqualification of Sushi Party (3) in Saturday's Armed Forces at Gulfstream.

Sushi Party finished first by a neck in Saturday’s $75,000 Armed Forces Stakes for 2-year-olds at Gulfstream Park, but lost the race via disqualification after an objection and an inquiry by track stewards.

Mitzman, who was bumped by Sushi Party with a sixteenth of a mile remaining, was promoted to first. Sushi Party was relegated to second.

The Armed Forces Stakes was run at a mile and 70 yards on the synthetic track after the race was moved off the turf course because of overnight rainfall.
