Miss Code West remains unbeaten in Slide Show

Dustin Orona Photography Miss Code West has now earned $95,694, after stretching out to take the Slide Show at Remington Park.

Miss Code West remained unbeaten in three career starts Friday night, when she dominated the $50,000 Slide Show by 5 1/4 lengths at Remington Park. Starstep Toheaven finished second, while it was another 3 1/2 lengths back in third to Okie Love.

The Slide Show was one of three stakes on the card, with all restricted to horses bred in Oklahoma.

Miss Code West ($3.40) was winning her second stakes race in the Slide Show behind the Oklahoma Classics Night Lassie last month at Remington. She stalked fractions of 24.04 for the opening quarter and 48.75 for the half-mile before taking over through six furlongs in 1:14.46. Miss Code West, racing on a fast track, went on to cover the one-mile for 2-year-old fillies in 1:40.72.

Floyd Wethey Jr. was aboard for trainer Kevin Scholl.

Miss Code West is a daughter of Code West. She has earned $95,694 for Jeffry Puryear and Julie Puryear.

Chasin Jason ($8.40) was prominent throughout when nailing down his first stakes win in the $50,000 Don McNeill. He won the one-mile race for 2-year-olds by 1 3/4 lengths over Bromigo, while it was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third to Okie Smoke.

Chasin Jason covered the distance in 1:40.77.

Harry Hernandez was aboard for Patrick Swan, who bred, owns and trains Chasin Jason. The horse is by Mister Lucky Cat and with the win improved his record to 2-for-2 for earnings of $59,043.

Fly to the Bank won the $30,000 Silver Goblin for the second year in a row, when he overtook pacesetter Connors Outlaw for a 1 1/2-length victory. It was another length back in third to Tommyhawk.

Fly to the Bank ($10) stalked fractions of 22.62 for the opening quarter and 46.06 for the half-mile before going on to cover the 6 1/2 furlongs for 3-year-olds and up in 1:17.42.

Stewart Elliott was aboard for trainer Steve Martin.

Fly to the Bank is a son of Euroears who races for Juan Gallegos. He is now 12 for 39 for earnings of $479,526. Fly to the Bank was winning the sixth stakes race of his career in this year's Silver Goblin.
