Into Mischief colt has fastest quarter-mile at OBS under-tack show

A single juvenile had the fastest time at a quarter-mile during the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June 2-year-olds and horse of racing age sale under-tack show Friday, stopping the clock in 20 2/5 seconds.

The time was a fifth of a second off the record at the distance for an OBS under-tack show of 20 1/5 seconds, which was reached during this year’s OBS March 2-year-olds in training sale by a Super Saver colt.

The juveniles breezed over the Ocala (Fla.) Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

Friday’s fastest worker at a quarter-mile was Hip 491, an Into Mischief colt out of the unraced Divine Park mare Wooden Nickel, whose first foal is a winner in Russia. His extended family features Grade 1 winners Include Me Out, Check the Label, Sam's Sister, and Sweet Talker, as well as Grade 3 winner Silver Medallion. Thoroughbred Champions Training Center consigns the colt.

Eleven horses tied for the fastest time at an eighth of a mile, going in 10 seconds flat.

- Hip 413, Skamania, an Adios Charlie filly out of the stakes-placed Known Fact mare Tackalac, whose six winners from seven runners include stakes-placed Good Bye Greg and graded stakes producer Yo Ali. The Florida-bred is from the family of Grade 1-placed stakes winner It'sali'lknownfact. She is consigned by Hawks Nest LLC.
- Hip 415, a Distorted Humor colt out of the Grade 1-placed stakes-winning Pleasant Tap mare Taptam. Grade 3 winner Officious is on the page, as is Grade 3-placed Lord Hatchet. Eddie Woods consigns, as agent.
- Hip 446, a Tiz Wonderful filly out of the winning Forestry mare Treetop Shock, whose two foals to race are both winners including multiple stakes winner Shock Hazard. Bred in Iowa, the filly is from the family of Grade 3 winners Scottish Monk, Wire Me Collect, and Fish Trappe Road. Southern Chase Farm consigns the filly, as agent.
- Hip 459, Up the Road, a Quality Road filly who is the first foal out of the placed Lone Star Sky mare Up a Notch. The Louisiana-bred's page features champion Wayward Lass, and stakes winners Break Up, Fort Hood, and Miss Mercedes. Eddie Woods is the consignor, as agent.
- Hip 465, a Quality Road colt who is the first foal out of the winning War Chant mare Villanella, from the family of French Group 1 winner Passion for Gold, and Grade 2 winners C'est L' Amour and Madeo. Randy Miles consigns the New York-bred, as agent.
- Hip 492, a Congrats filly who is the first foal out of the winning Forestry mare Woodland Harmony. Her page features Grade 1 winner Listening, Grade 2 winners Listen Here and Beautiful Noise, and Grade 3 winner La Coronel. She is consigned by Shanbally Acres.
- Hip 503, Heidi Ho, a first-crop Anthony's Cross filly out of the unraced Gimmeawink mare Adorable Heidi, whose first two foals to race are winners. Grade 1 winner Rutherienne is in the Florida-bred's extended family, as are Grade 3 winners Adcat and Ruthenia. Woodside Ranch consigns the filly, as agent.
- Hip 504, a first-crop Violence filly out of the winning Grand Slam mare Adorably Dangerous, whose two foals to race are both winners. Her third dam is Canadian champion Choral Group. Golden Legacy Stables consigns the filly.
- Hip 517, Hello Annie, an Exclusive Quality filly out of the unplaced Double Honor mare Annie's Double, whose first foal to race is a winner. Stakes winner Montego Bay is in the extended family of the filly, who is consigned by Silvestre Chavez Thoroughbreds, agent.
- Hip 525, a Union Rags colt out of the Grade 2-placed Sky Mesa mare Argyle Pink, who has one winner from two runners. Champion sprinter Smoke Glacken is in the extended family, as are Grade 2 winners Smokey Glacken and Crown of Thorns. Randy Miles consigns the colt, as agent.
- Hip 566, a Flatter colt out of the winning Unbridled's Song mare Catch My Eye. The New York-bred's page features Group 2 winner Celtic Celeb and Group 3 winners Nomorerichblondes and Gaelic Bird. He is consigned by de Meric Sales, agent.

The OBS June under-tack show concludes Saturday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Eastern. The auction will take place June 13-14, with a 10:30 a.m. start time.
