Michigan online mixed sale catalog now available

The catalog for the 2014 Michigan Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association online auction is now available on the organization’s website.

The catalog features a total of 15 entries, including yearlings, 2-year-olds, broodmares, and broodmare prospects. Print copies of the catalog are available by request by contacting the MTOBA office.

Bidding will open Monday, Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. Eastern, and will go through Sunday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. Bids made within 15 minutes of closing will extend the time on that horse for an additional 30 minutes until no more bids are made.

Similar to other online auctions, potential buyers may place a proxy bid with the maximum amount they are willing to spend, which will increase the bidding automatically.

A link will be posted on the organization’s website when the auction goes live on Sept. 22, at which time bidders will be able to register. The auction’s rules and conditions of sale are currently available on the MTOBA website.

Horses are available for inspection at the farms of each seller, with contact information to schedule visits posted on the auction’s online list of offerings and in the print catalogs.
