Monday afternoon's program at Miami Valley Raceway saw Let It Ride N break the track record and Trace Tetrick become the newest driver to have 7,000 career victories.
Let It Ride N (Dan Noble) won for the fourth straight time in the $30,000 Open Handicap Pace, this time in 1:48 4/5 to knock a fifth of a second off the standard set by Nuclear Dragon and Saulsbrook Genesis. After dropping in third from post nine, Let It Ride N went first-over past the 54 1/5 set by Later Dudes (Chris Page), joined that rival racing to the 1:21 three-quarters, and went by him in the lane en route to a 1 1/4 length victory over pocket-sitter Incredible Man (Jeremy Smith). Later Dudes wound up third.
A 10-year-old gelding by Rock N Roll Heaven, Let It Ride N is trained by Michael Hitchcock for owners William Hartt and Enzed Racing Stable Inc. This was his 46th career win, he has now earned $833,279, and he paid $3.20 to win as the 3-5 favorite.
