Less than a week after he became harness racing's all-time leading driver by earnings, David Miller's lifetime bankroll went over $300 million, making him the first driver to reach that mark. Miller reached the milestone in the 14th race on Tuesday's program at Miami Valley Raceway when he won with 5-year-old Well Said gelding Perfect Paradise in 1:54 3/5 for trainer Chris Presley. In harness racing, only trainer Ron Burke had previously crested $300,000,000 in career earnings. Miller ranks seventh all-time in earnings between Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing jockeys and drivers, joining jockeys John Velazquez, Javier Castellano, Irad Ortiz Jr., Mike Smith, Joel Rosario and Jose Ortiz in the $300 million club. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Currently the leading driver at Miami Valley in both victories and earnings, Miller's next major accomplishment will be when he reaches 15,000 career wins; his total currently sits at 14,903.
