Message to DRF readers - Updated 9/13

Daily Racing Form asks the continued understanding of our readers and customers as we continue to operate under temporarily limited capability stemming from the terrorist attack Tuesday several blocks from our headquarters in lower Manhattan.

We are determined to continue publishing a newspaper during these extraordinary times but we are unable to produce our usual full product until we can regain access to our offices. The continued closure of Manhattan below 14th St. means that we are assembling and printing our newspaper through our other regional offices and print sites. Friday editions of DRF were printed at several locations Wednesday night and are on sale now. Saturday editions will be printed Thursday night and available for purchase as usual on Friday.

These editions contain very limited editorial coverage and past performances that are complete and accurate but lack DRF statistical enhancements such as Beyer Speed Figures, Tomlinson ratings and Trainer Form data. We do not expect to be able to restore these features until next week. Saturday's and Sunday's print editions will include full handicapping analyses for major tracks but will not contain traditional selections and consensus choices.

Our Internet capabilities will be similarly limited. We are continuing to make entry and result information available, but our usual online products and services, including all Watch notifications, will be unavailable for at least the next several days pending the restoration of power and telecommunications to the area.

We apologize for these temporary inconveniences, and thank the many readers and industry participants who have offered their concern and assistance. DRF remains committed to informing the racing industry and its customers as we have done for more than a century, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
