The Meadows: Zeron sweeps Pennsylvania Sire Stakes with Fauvette Hanover, JK Lady Liberty

Driver Scott Zeron guided Fauvette Hanover and JK Lady Liberty to victories in a pair of $63,826 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes tests for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday afternoon at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Fauvette Hanover, a 28-1 shot, sat in the three-hole through fractions of 27, 57 and 1:25 3/5 set first by Aestas (Corey Callahan) and then Gold Impact (Mike Wilder), and rallied in the passing lane in the stretch to get up and win by a nose over Aestas in 1:53 2/5. Gold Impact wound up third.

Trainer Brittney Dillon also co-owns the victorious daughter of Papi Rob Hanover with William Hartt. Bred by Hanover Shoe Farms Inc., Fauvette Hanover has a summary of 2-2-1 from six starts, has earned $60,131 and paid $58.80 to win.

In the other flight JK Lady Liberty was third at the 27 2/5 quarter and then made her way to the front en route to the 55 2/5 half. From there, JK Lady Liberty wound go on to reach three-quarters in 1:23 4/5, then came home in 28 1/5 to defeat pocket-sitter Positive Process (Dave Palone) by a neck in 1:52. Loyal To The End (Andy McCarthy) finished third.
