The Meadows: Tetricks clean up in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes
?q=100)
Driving brothers Tim and Trace Tetrick combined to win all three Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for rookie pacing fillies that took place on Saturday afternoon's card at The Meadows.
Tim connected in the first $55,086 grouping with Geocentric, who led to the 27 3/5 quarter, yielded to Chiapanecas (Yannick Gingras) heading to the 56 3/5 half, continued to stalk that foe through three-quarters in 1:24 4/5, and then rallied in the passing lane to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:52. Chiapanecas had to settle for second and Ginger Tree Belle (Aaron Merriman) grabbed third.
Brian Brown trains the victorious daughter of Sweet Lou for owners Milton Leeman, Alan Keith, James Stambaugh and Joe Sbrocco. Bred by Diamond Creek Farm and a $55,000 buy at the 2022 Standardbred Horse Sale, Geocentric won her pari-mutuel debut after taking two baby races at the Delaware County Fairgrounds and Eldorado Scioto Downs. She paid $4.00 to win as the even-money favorite.
It was Trace's turn in the second $55,486 flight, as he clicked with Asweetbeachhere in similar fashion. Asweetbeachhere tracked Monsoon (Gingras) through panels of 29 1/5, 58 and 1:26 1/5, then charged up the inside in the stretch to tally by three-quarters of a length over a closing My Girl Ej (Chris Page). Monsoon faded to third.
Asweetbeachhere is another Sweet Lou filly trained by Erv Miller for owner Doug Overhiser. Asweetbeachhere improved to two-for-two after also taking an overnight race at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, and she has banked $33,743. Bred by Courant AB, she was a $115,000 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale purchase and returned $6.80 to win as the 2-1 second choice.

In the last $55,486 split Lyons Legend and Tim brushed to the front before the past the 28 3/5 opening quarter and hit the half in 58 seconds, but Sweet Gal (Yannick Gingras) came with a first-over charge from fourth in the backstretch that carried her into the top spot passing the 1:25 1/5 three-quarters. Lyons Legend was undeterred, though, and re-rallied in the lane to get back around Sweet Gal and prevail by a length in 1:52 1/5. Capytreach (Merriman) wound up third.
The winner is by Stay Hungry and was sent out by Jim King Jr. for owner Threelyonsracing. Bred by Stonegate Standardbred Farms, Lyons Legend fetched $33,000 at last year's Standardbred Horse Sale, and she has won both of her efforts thus far to go with earnings of $33,143. She paid $4.60 to win as the favorite.
