A chilly May Saturday welcomed back Pennsylvania Sire Stakes action at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. Two $54,601 divisions of the Bye Bye Byrd for the top level horses, as well as four Stallion Series divisions for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings, kicked off the 2026 Sire Stakes season. In the first and faster division of the Bye Bye Byrd, it took the length of the stretch for Tim Tetrick and Sneaky Squeaky to parlay a second-over trip into a lifetime-best win. The son of Heston Blue Chip followed and battled Melillo to the wire for the nose victory in a career mark of 1:51 1/5. Sneaky Squeaky is now five-for-five this season for trainer Joe Bongiorno and owner Morrison Racing Stables. The second division of the Bye Bye Byrd saw another colt stay undefeated in 2026 as Another C Note improved to four-for- four this season. Driven by Ronnie Wrenn Jr, Another C Note sat a comfortable pocket all the way to the Lightning Lane, and from there the Captaintreacherous colt would sprint to a two length victory. Owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., breeder Let It Ride Stables Inc. and Scott Dillon. Another C Note paced the mile in 1:51 2/5 for trainer Ron Burke. Bongiorno got his second training victory in the afternoon with Ballroom Affair in the Stallion Series action. Hall of Fame driver Tim Tetrick raced the Papi Rob Hanover gelding fourth through early going before a backside brush that would eventually produce a two length and lifetime-best victory. Owned by Let It Ride Stables Inc. and Odds On Racing, Ballroom Affair was also able to keep his perfect season intact and is now three-for-three. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter A pair of Hall of Famers teamed up in another split of Stallion Series action as driver Dave Palone drove the Chris Ryder trainee Kiss In The Sky to 1:52 3/5 triumph. Palone moved the son of Bettor's Wish down the backside and cleared by the head of the stretch on the way to a length victory for owners Chris Ryder, William Ezzo, Mark Harder and Robert Mondillo. Justin Irvine put Really Bright in position early and waited for the Lightning Lane for a Stallion Series victory. Irvine waited in the pocket as Down The Line and McHungry battled up front, then used a 27 3/5 last quarter for the win. Really Bright is trained by Hunter Oakes and the son of Tall Dark Stranger is owned by Howard Taylor and Chuck Pompey. Yannick Gingras moved Ubrute from fifth to first past the quarter and ground out a 1:52 3/5 seasonal debut victory in his Stallion Series test. Trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Hatfield Stables and Phil Collura. The Tall Dark Stranger colt now has earnings in excess of $365,000 in 11 career starts. For the day Palone took top honors with four driving victories while Tim Tetrick and Shawn Johnston had three wins each. Ron Burke and Joe Bongiorno both had a pair of training victories.
