The Meadows: Cash N Chips captures Margaret Provost Memorial Trot final

Chris Gooden Cash N Chips took advantage when the leader made a break to score on Thursday at The Meadows
Challenging on the outside when the leader jumped it off, Cash N Chips pounced on the opportunity and went on to capture Thursday's $22,250 championship of the Margaret Provost Memorial Trot for 3-year-old fillies at The Meadows.
Treasure Gems K, the 4-5 favorite, was trotting with a clear lead through the final turn when she made an unforced break, leaving only Cash N Chips and the pocket-sitting Wonmyheart Hanover in position to score. Cash N Chips persevered for Hunter Myers and downed Wonmyheart Hanover by half a length in a career-best 1:56 1/5, with Franklin County third.
Steve Bush trains the victorious daughter of Cash Hall-Sugar N Chips and owns with Alvira Fassett.
