The Meadows: Carryovers, guaranteed pools galore on Friday

A tough Thursday for handicappers will lead to a potentially lucrative Friday (August 21) at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

With several longshots hitting the board in the day's final races, there were no winning tickets sold in the late Pick 4, the Pick 5 and the Pentafecta on Thursday. The Meadows will now offer a combined $85,000 in guaranteed pools on Friday evening, with first post set for 5:10 p.m. (EDT)

Races 1-4 on the Friday card will make up the early Pick 4, which will have a guaranteed pool of $15,000 with a carryover of $4,560.

Races 7-11 will comprise the Pick 5, which carries over $4,038. The pool will be guaranteed at $20,000.

Finally, the evening will conclude with the 20-cent Pentafecta in Race 11, which will have a guaranteed pool of $50,000, including a $14,544 two-day carryover.

Friday's guaranteed pools are offered through a partnership including The Meadows, the USTA’s Strategic Wagering program and the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association.
