Sire Captain Corey swept the trifectas in both $56,145 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old filly trotters on Wednesday afternoon at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, with Miss Eliza and Birr Castle taking the victories.

In the initial grouping, first Ginger Tree Darla (Andy McCarthy) and then Cuckoos Nest (Dave Palone) cut fractions of 27 4/5, 57 1/5 and 1:26 1/5, but Orinoco (Yannick Gingras) and Miss Eliza (Mike Wilder) moved up first-over and second-over from third and fourth in the final quarter.

Both Orinoco and a three-wide Miss Eliza went by a stopping Cuckoos Nest turning for home, and Miss Eliza was able to wear Orinoco down late to prevail by half a length in 1:55 3/5. Shes A Home Run (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) finished in the third spot.

The Christian Stoltzfus-bred Miss Eliza is two-for-two and has earned $33,072 for trainer Norm Parker and owners Bart and Todd Brice. She paid $4.80 to win as the favorite.

The second section saw Western Twister (Brian Zendt) cut the quarter in 28 4/5 and then yield to The Captain's Wife (Wrenn Jr.) on the way to the 58 4/5 half. The Captain's Wife kept the top spot to three-quarters in 1:27 1/5 and turned for home first, but Birr Castle (Dexter Dunn) went three-wide from second-over on the last turn, went by The Captain's Wife in the lane, and edged clear to score by a length in 1:55 3/5. The Captain's Wife wound up second from Cabaletta Hanover (Matt Kakaley).

Marcus Melander trains Birr Castle for owner/breeder Pheasant Hill Farm. She won in her pari-mutuel debut off a win and a fourth in baby races at the Meadowlands and returned $3.40 to win as the favorite.

Dunn and sire Greenshoe won all three $20,000 Pennsylvania Stallion Series groupings with:

--Crucio (bred by Marvin And Lynn Katz, Hatfield Stables, Daniel Plouffe and Brad Grant, paid $2.20 to win) in 1:56 4/5 for owner/trainer Marcus Melander;

--Don't Stop Hanover (bred by Hanover Shoe Farms, paid $3 to win) in 1:59 for trainer Marcus Melander and owners Frederick Schwartz, Onda Racing Stable LLC. and Richard Pronti;

--Honky Tonk Baby (bred by owner Willow Oak Ranch, paid $6.20 to win) in 1:59 2/5 for trainer Julie Miller.
