?q=100)
Trainer Ron Burke went three-for-three in $43,484 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Friday evening at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
In the first grouping Miss Chevious (Yannick Gingras) was left first-over on the far turn when the horse she was following, Schnapps Hanover (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), was able to slide down into the pocket. Despite losing the helmet, Miss Chevious went by Pa Layla (Andy McCarthy), who had put up fractions of 27 1/5, 56 2/5 and 1:24, coming off the final bend and then kicked away to defeat Schnapps Hanover by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:52 2/5. Play The Flute (Lewayne Miller) finished third.
By Tall Dark Stranger, Miss Chevious is a homebred for W.J. Donovan, Craig Henderson, Joe Sbrocco and Purnel & Libby LLC. She won in her debut off a third and a first in two baby races at Gaitway and paid $3 to win as the favorite.
Race favorite Positive Process (Dave Palone) was in front at the 28 second quarter, 57 second half and 1:25 2/5 three-quarters in the second flight, but My Taylors Swift (Wrenn Jr.) went three-wide from second-over on the last turn and rallied to a 2 1/4 length victory in 1:52 4/5. Positive Process had to settle for second and Love Somebody (Mark Herschberger) checked in third.
A daughter of Captaintreacherous bred by J L Benson Stables Inc. and Edward Lynskey, My Taylors Swift is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Phil Collura and James Zito. She captured her first outing after she was fourth and first in two baby races at The Meadows and returned $17.60 to win as a 7-1 offering.
