Meadowlands: Woman Of Passion scores in Miss Versatility Series

The Meadowlands wrapped up their stakes-filled card on Saturday night with a single $40,000 division of the second leg of the Miss Versatility Series for older trotting mares, and the winner was Woman Of Passion.

Woman Of Passion displayed explosive late trot to gun down 2025 Hambletonian Oaks champion Conversano at the wire. The 5-year-old daughter of Walner-Womans Will, who was sent to the gate at odds of 12-1, was driven by Scott Zeron and is trained by Carter Pinske. She returned $26.20 to her backers after completing the mile in 1:51 1/5.

There are two more preliminary rounds in the Miss Versatility Series on August 1 and September 4 at the Meadowlands before the $100,000 (est.) final on September 24 at the Delaware (Ohio) County Fairgrounds.

A LITTLE MORE: Dexter Dunn and Ron Burke had three winners each to lead the driver and trainer colonies, respectively on Saturday's program. All-source handle on the 14-race program totaled $4,053,560. Racing resumes Friday at 6:35 p.m. (EDT).
