Meadowlands: Weekend races to be broadcast nationally
The Meadowlands Championship Meet is underway and will be broadcast as part of NYRA's America's Day at the Races on both Friday and Saturday this coming weekend (May 19 & 20).
The races will be carried live on Fox Sports 2 on Friday night from 6:00 to 8:30pm then switch to Fox Sports 1 from 8:30 to 11:00PM as part of the program that includes a Churchill Downs night card.
Saturday night The Meadowlands will be carried on Fox Sports 2 from 8:00 to 11:00pm with the feature race being the major Grand Circuit stake, the $175,000e Arthur J Cutler Memorial Free For All trot.
Jessica Otten will host The Meadowlands show along with the NYRA personalities.

Saturday, August 5 (1:00 – 5:00 then 6:00 – 7:00) Hambletonian and supporting card with purses of $3.5 million
Friday, September 8 (9:00 – 11:00pm) New Jersey Classic Series Finals
30 & Under Handicapping Contest at the Meadowlands this Saturday
The Meadowlands is also hosting its annual 30 & Under Handicapping contest this Saturday, May 20. The free handicapping contest is exclusively for fans between the ages of 18 and 30 and offers a $5,000 total prize pool, with prize payouts to the top five finishers.
Fans may register up until 6:30 p.m. on the night of the contest at the Victory Terrace registration table. There is no entry fee.
The contest format requires players to make a mythical $2 "across the board" wager on one horse in races 2 – 11 at the Meadowlands. The winner is the contestant that amasses the largest mythical bankroll from their selections.
The prize payouts to the top five finishers are as follows:
1st – $2,000
2nd – $1,500
3rd – $1,000
4th – $500
All contest participants will receive a free program, $10 betting voucher and treated to free BBQ from the Backyard BBQ & Grill.
