Meadowlands: Two ways to qualify for the WHHC this weekend
Fans can get in on the qualifying action this Friday, January 10 in the free Meadowlands Winter Survival Challenge powered by 123Racing. The Challenge runs through March 28 with $1,300 seats into the 2020 World Harness Handicapping Championship awarded to the top three finishers in addition to cash prizes.
In the Challenge, players must place a $2 WPS wager on one horse in each of the three designated races each night. The winner is determined by the highest total bankroll at the end of the Challenge. However, to continue in the game, entrants have to “survive” by finishing in-the-money [first through third] with at least one of their selections each day. Failing to do so or not making selections knocks the player out of the game.
Players can register for the Survival Challenge at www.survival-challenge.com, players must register and have their first night selections in by 6:45pm on Friday. Trackmaster will provide free pps for these Challenge races.
Then on Saturday, January 11 the Meadowlands hosts its first WHHC Qualifier of the new year. Four spots are up for grabs in the $400 Qualifier ($200 entry plus a $200 real-money bankroll). The format requires players to make $20 Win/Place/Show or combo WPS bets on at least 10 Meadowlands races of their choice. Players can wager more than $20 a race if they desire.
DerbyWars hosts online Qualifiers for the WHHC every Saturday night. Players can qualify for as little as $22.
TVG has signed up as a partner outlet and will host their online WHHC qualifier on Saturday, February 1st. They will award two entries into the WHHC Final set for Saturday, April 18.
