Hope for Love, who flashed early speed against some of the East Coast's top 2-year-old fillies in the Grade 1 Spinaway at Saratoga two weeks ago, has found easier pickings in the $50,000, six-furlong Jersey Jumper Stakes at The Meadowlands.

Hope for Love, trained by Carlos Martin, won her career debut at Saratoga, earning a Beyer of 86. Given a shot to face such heavy hitters as Awesome Humor and Stellar, Hope for Love contested the early pace in the seven-furlong Spinaway through fractions of 22.05 and 45.15 seconds and was still a close third after six furlongs in 1:10.66. She faded to fifth in the last furlong.

Chimichurri could be Hope for Love's chief rival in the six-horse Jersey Jumper. She will be making her first start since winning her maiden July 25 at Saratoga, earning a Beyer of 88 that is the best speed figure in this field.
