Race 1

(5) SPORTS VISION drops in claiming price and not surprisingly faces a soft group. It’s hard to love him in this spot but he should come ready. (2) BLUE STRIKE raced evenly from the back last time starting from an outside post. He gets post relief and a driver change here. (3) ATLAS ALLIANCE N is a consistent earner in an inconsistent field. (8) BUCKEYE IN CHARGE woke up with a solid effort last time.

Race 2

(7) BIZET was super last time and solid all-around going back to October. His best effort gets the job done. (8) CHARLIE ONA HARLEY missed a few weeks and had post 10 in his Burke barn debut. I wouldn’t give up on this 3yo too quickly. (10) HAMMER TIME has displayed the ability to put up a big mile. Ready off the bench? (4) FLEUR DE HILL gets a better post tonight. With a decent trip she can menace.

Race 3

(3) FOX VALLEY STEFFEN comes off a decent try in the Amateur ranks. Veteran gets a key driver change this week that should put him over the top. (5) CAN’TCUTTHATCHIP wasn’t far back in a blanket finish when dropping in class last time. He gets another dip in the conditioned ranks for a solid barn. (8) TWO HIP DIP came up with a big mile out of nowhere. If he is simply feeling good now, he can win again.

Race 4

(2) DANGEROUSPRECEDENT won in this class two starts back then got caught behind foes in a very slow half. I’m expecting McCarthy to put this gal back on the front. (7) TEARFUL OF HAPPY dropped and popped last time; outside post hurts slightly. (3) LIVE ODDS was used a bit early and she is better with a more relaxing early trip. The inside post gives her a shot. (9) HEPBURN HANOVER raced well last week and seems to have enough early speed to get lucky from the outside post.

Race 5

(5) IF NOT WHY NOT hasn’t been bad lately while facing tougher competition than he sees tonight. Three-year-old gets written into this race and looks well-spotted for a big effort. (6) STAR STUDDED CAST ships in from Freehold in fine form and drops in for a tag to fit the class. He should be live. (2) STARSABOVEALLERAGE has some class and adds Gingras tonight. (4) QUICK DEAL was better last time but this field is better, too.

Race 6

(7) PENPAL chased slow fractions and had absolutely no chance last Friday while facing some better foes. It’s scary to think she may have to pass the field and could be the victim of a slow pace again, but this group should go a bit quicker and she is that fast from behind. (5) OK HEAVENLY finds a prime spot to gun to the front. If they don’t push her too hard, she may just get the job done. (1) STYLISH BEACHWHERE & (1A) KAK’S SHARK ATTACK form a capable entry from Jeff Cullipher. Either could win on their best.

Race 7

(5) MELADY’S MONET has won for fun in his qualifiers and seems ready to roll versus a mixed bag of performers in a light NW15000 race. (3) HONOR AND SERVE comes in sharp for good connections and dropped in for a tag to meet the conditions. (6) MISSLAROSE faces softer this week, but drawing outside of other early speed does her no favors.

Race 8

(7) ABBEYLARA looked good winning the preliminary round of this mini-series and he may just offer better value than the entry; slight edge. (1) MEDOLAND JATE took care of business for a high percentage barn last time and clearly outdraws my top pick. (4) THE BRUISER & (3) IDEAL CANDIDATE are capable horses with good posts that could be riding live cover.

Race 9

(5) ELLA CHRISTINA drops only one class but faces much, much easier. She should respond in this spot. (1) FOREVER LIZA was facing better when last seen here. (6) FILLY FORTY SEVEN moves into a new barn and picks up a Hall of Fame driver. (7) A PLUS was just even from an outside post in her debut for this barn. She could show more now.

Race 10

(2) IDEAL ROMANCE stopped in the lane last time and now enters a new barn. He looks like the default winner in a mostly formless field. (3) MY DAD ROCKS raced well two starts back and has some early speed to be in position. (7) TERRORS PRINCE was used in the pace but at least showed interest last Thursday. He’s a player in here. (4) NO TEARS BLUE CHIP hails from a barn with more wins on the meet than the rest of the field combined.
