Meadowlands: Sharp Horses and Track Trends for Feb. 27-March 4
MEADOWLANDS
3/3: 4w, no bias, speed did a bit better here this week, not unusual as the temperature increases, but still a fair surface that benefits horses that can finish well
3/2: 6w, no bias but more speed favoring than usual, headwinds
3/1: 3w, + closers
SHARP@MEADOWLANDS
BIG BAM RAY*** – Left from post 10 and was parked to the quarter for the lead, set the pace and drew off impressively while not really pushed
SARASTAR – Left sharply from post 8 and was parked to the lead in :27 3/5, yielded and was shuffled badly, rallied gamely in the lane
COBALT MAN – Was parked to the lead in :27 2/5, set the pace under constant pressure, shook off one rival, yielded to another horse turning for home and excusably tired
REAL FLIGHT – Had post 10, left, tucked, followed cover third over and finished fast to just miss
INTRIGUED ROYALLY – Had a tough parked-out uncovered trip from post 7 and held okay
