Race 1
(1) EYORE HANOVER has posted a couple of decent efforts lately and should still offer a touch of value in this blank field; two-for-one is nice as well. (6) LAW OF ATTRACTION was in tough last week at Yonkers but should find this group more to his liking. (7) SWANCREDIT & (8) AUSPICIOUS HANOVER are both getting driver changes and hail from barns that know how to win here.

Race 2
(4) DEALT A WINNER hasn’t been able to get checks with the best of his division lately but finds a great spot where McCarthy can try to wire this field. (5) DONTTELLMEAGAIN might just be the best older pacer in the country, but this seems like a spot where he’ll be raced conservatively with the Breeders Crown next weekend as the bigger goal. (3) MORE THE BETTER N has been reasonably successful in the Open ranks and can have a say in here.
Race 3
(8) HERVEY HANOVER won a leg of the Simpson two starts back. None of these have won anything close to that type of race. Somebeachsomewhere colt can wire this field if he doesn’t get stung too badly on his way to the top. (3) VIRGIN GOLD has missed a month of action but shows some good miles north of the border. (7) DEWAR N JACK looks to transfer his Monticello form to the Big M; worth a look.
Race 4
(1) OK HEAVENLY is 8 for 20 in the money here the last two years and did set a lifetime mark of 1:49 4/5 in the process. While she’s in a higher class than I would like, this field doesn’t play like a NW11500. (8) KAY’S DELIGHT has found her form for trainer Carmen Auciello and should make some noise in this field. (6) ROCKIN PRALINE has posted a 15-3-4-2 record at the Big M in 2018; capable. (3) COLORFUL JASMINE can pop a big mile at times.
Race 5
(6) ROGER MACH EM was hung out from post eight at Freehold when dropping in class. Veteran should be very comfortable with this group for a solid barn. (1) ROCKET J broke last time but was solid in his previous start. (9) WESTERN BAYAMA has been dealing with outside posts of late and tonight is no exception, though at least the mile track gives him a better shot.
Race 6
(9) CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A has put in two decent effort over the smaller track at Freehold. In a mostly blank field, there is no reason to this the Aussie import won’t pick up his game on the big oval. (2) LONE WOLF TERROR can pop a big mile at times but has no form to speak of right now; your call. (6) KOKANEE SEELSTER comes off a nice score at Freehold and seems fast enough to step up. (4) HOWSABOUTAKISS could show early speed in this spot and get involved.
Race 7
(3) AWESOMENESS took a nice break and was right back in the winner’s circle in his second start off the bench. Five-year-old did well here with a pair of wins in 10 starts and finds a relatively weak NW15000 this week. (5) BILBO HANOVER is getting a touch of class relief on paper and could perk up. (7) SOHO WALLSTREET A falls into the same boat as #5; worth suing in the Pick 5. (6) QUALITY BUD picked up over $50K at The Meadowlands the hard way in overnights this year. I might give him one start after a couple of months off.
Race 8
(8) SANTIAGO STYLE is 17-4-5-2 at The Meadowlands this year and just 11-0-2-0 elsewhere. The return to his home turf can make all the difference. (9) BRUCE’S MAGIC is another returning to a track he prefers. This guy is capable of a big mile. (1) SPORTSMANSHIP took too much air and tired last time; change of scenery may help.
Race 9
(10) STRATOCASTER finally got class relief last time but couldn’t overcome an outside post. I honestly would prefer not to pick him on top, but this field is so bad I thought the risk of the outside post would be worth the reward. (6) SHOW ME UP looks ok on paper if you toss the last two races from outside posts. He drops in claiming price here and could awaken. (4) RATHER SWELL & (5) WINDSONG JACK have poor recent form but should show more against this company.
Race 10
(5) CHARMBRO CURIOUSITY has been racing reasonably well of late and you can’t deny he’s had the best year of any horse in the field. (1) MACHMEMACKIE has speed and form, but I’m not thrilled about a short price on this horse for some reason. (4) ONE MORE MIRACLE has early speed and could be a sneaky-good play.
Race 11
(4) JOJO JOVE rolled down the road last time and has been able to post three wins over this track already this year. (7) MAJOR STARLIGHT was done in by a bad post a week ago; driver change alert! (5) ADMIRAL flashed 26 2/5 early speed before tiring. That early interest could make him a factor. (6) HOPE FOR BADLANDS can be a closing threat if they mix it up.
