M-M's Dream closed out her stakes career in style, going wire-to-wire and capturing Saturday's $175,000 FanDuel Championship (Grade 2) for trotting mares at the Meadowlands in a 1:51 4/5 mile for driver Yannick Gingras.  Making her 69th start of an illustrious career, M-M's Dream wasted no time in the five-mare field, gaining control as the gate opened with Gingras pushing the right buttons as he's done all year behind the Ron Burke-trained mare. Warrawee Michelle, the Breeders Crown champion, settled in second with Elista Hanover remaining parked heading into the first turn for Todd McCarthy. M-M's Dream hit the opening quarter in 27 1/5 with McCarthy trying to get Elista Hanover to the front, but his mare broke stride shortly after the quarter, giving Gingras and M-M's Dream full control of the pace. M-M's Dream waltzed to the half in 56 3/5 and hit three-quarters in 1:25 1/5, making her well-reserved for her final stretch drive. Under Gingras' urging M-M's Dream pulled away from Warrawee Michelle and sprinted off with a 26 3/5 final quarter. Bravo Angel S skimmed the pylons to rally for second with Warrawee Michelle settling for third. Sent off as a 6-1 option in the field of five, M-M's Dream paid $14.80 to win. It was win number 37 for M-M's Dream, a daughter of Swan For All owned by Hillside Stables and Frank Baldachino and brought her a notch below $2.3 million in career earnings. She'll officially retire after a planned race at Harrah's Hoosier Park next week. "It was a tremendous way to end it," Gingras said. "She loves this track." ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Trainer Chris Ryder continued his magic touch in the FanDuel Championship Open Mare division, capturing the $175,000 Grade 2 edition again with the sophomore filly Miki And Minnie in a 1:49 2/5 mile. It was Ryder and driver Dexter Dunn's third straight win in this class, having captured it in 2023-24 with Twin B Joe Fresh. Miki And Minnie, the lone 3-year-old in the field, was sent off as the favorite, and Dunn waited patiently in third during the early stages as Stonecoldtreachery, with Lauren Tritton, blasted from the pole position and seized control through a brisk 26 3/5 opener over a track now rated good. Kobe's Gigi, with Yannick Gingras, briefly took the pocket but moved to the front shortly after the first quarter. With the pace slowing Dunn moved Miki And Minnie, and she needed some encouragement to gain control shortly before the half had been reached in 55 seconds flat. The major duel anticipated in this division found Always B Naughty, the recent Breeders Crown champion with Austin Hanners, right on the favorite's back, and they challenged through the third quarter, with Miki And Minnie in control at three-quarters in 1:23 1/5. Turning for home Dunn spoke to Miki And Minnie, and the filly said goodbye to her rivals, marching off powerfully with a 26 1/5 kicker to dominate her seven rivals. Talk Curdy To Me rallied from second-over to get the place spot, with Aardie B Miki N up for third. Owned and bred by Craig Henderson, Robert Mondillo and Lawrence Minowitz, Miki And Minnie won for the 13th time in 15 sophomore starts. As the 3-5 favorite she returned $3.20 to win. "Against the 3-year-old fillies she got challenged in every mile," said Dunn. "To be here at the end of the year and race this way is to her credit."
