Meadowlands: List of Stallion nominations and participation

The Meadowlands is grateful for the support from all of the connections who nominated horses to the Stallion Early Closer Participation program for foals of 2024.

The reasons for this initiative are to substantially increase the purses for our most important stakes and to demonstrate to New Jersey legislators that our industry is united in its pursuit of having a bill to permit a gaming license be granted to The Meadowlands in 2027.

This stallion payment provides foals of 2024 the option of nominating to Meadowlands Early Closers for the life of the horse by making the one-time $400 Meadowlands Early Closer Participation payment.

Nomination and sustaining payments on the foals of 2024, required for that 2-year-old to be eligible for any Early Closer, will not begin until March 15, 2026.

The most up to date list of stallions whose 2024 foals are eligible for nomination to Meadowlands 2026 Early Closing events and other pertinent information may be found on The Meadowlands website.

As promised, 50% of the estimated revenue generated by the stallion and the February 15 payments on the foals of 2024 will be used to increase the money added to Meadowlands marquee Stakes/Early Closers as listed below.

These are the races that greatly enhance the résumé of any horse and are undeniably important as "Stallion Makers" for those with a potential future in the breeding shed.
