Meadowlands: Jiggy Jog S stays perfect this year in Six Pack Mares Open Trot
?q=100)
Jiggy Jog S stepped out of the 4-year-old only ranks for the first time in 2023 in Saturday's $112,500 Six Pack for trotting mares at the Meadowlands and posted her seventh straight victory dating back to last year. She stopped the timer in 1:51 with trainer-driver Ake Svanstedt in the bike.
Svanstedt sent Jiggy Jog S away quickly from post two but would let Fashion Schooner (Tim Tetrick) clear her going to the 28 1/5 opening quarter. Svanstedt would then plant Jiggy Jog S on the engine heading to the 56 4/5 half with second choice Bella Bellini (Dexter Dunn) biding her time back in the third spot.
Dunn put Bella Bellini in motion first-over on the way to the 1:25 three-quarters, and she advanced to loom boldly to the outside of Jiggy Jog S turning for home, but through the 26 second sprint to the wire, Jiggy Jog S held firm and would win by about a length. Bella Bellini was a game second, followed by Fashion Schooner, Raised By Lindy (Yannick Gingras) and Eternal Lee (Andy McCarthy).

Svanstedt said, "I didn't need to ask her. She did it by herself. She has taken one more step [forward] this year from last year. She's a very good horse."
Jorgen Sparredal Inc. owns Jiggy Jog S, a daughter of Walner. She is now a 13-time winner overall, has put away $1,258,451 and paid $2.40 to win as the 1-5 favorite.
"She was fantastic again," Sparredal added. "I don't know what to say anymore."
