Meadowlands: Horses to Watch from March 9 to 11
WEAPON TO WIN (NW2) was trapped in heavy traffic while under a hold and seems likely to do more next time.
WIND OF THE NORTH (NW15000) was reserved until the stretch and closed well with no shot on a night when early speed was doing well.
DATELINE HANOVER (15-25000CLM) went down the road for his third straight even though driver Brett Miller lost his whip mid-stretch.
MAJOR WAR (NW3500) took back to last for some reason and rallied nicely from an impossible spot.
HALLIE'S COMET (QUA) was reserved at the back, angled at three quarters and finished up willingly while basically on his own.
PENPAL (QUA) found a seat fourth just before the quarter, pulled on the final turn and was never asked while content to be second.
