Meadowlands: Horses to Watch for July 12-14, 2012

THURSDAY, JULY 12

IDEAL MATTERS (NW4000) – Broke and still won at the bottom condition. He only has to bump up one level and should be tough again.

WEINGARTNER (QUA) - Looked very impressive off of long layoff; expect one more tune-up from this one.

WEEKEND VACATION (QUA) - Seemed to be fully recovered off being scratched sick; a run at the Hambo Oaks is in order.

RARING TO GO (BABY) - Closed nicely in her second start; add a top catch driver and she should find the winner's circle.

DRINK THE WINE (BABY) - Closed with strong late strides in her debut; may need a few more starts but is one to keep an eye on.

HANDOVER BELLE (BABY) - Forget about the final time of 2:02.2. She showed great explosion off a pocket trip and can go much faster if needed.

IDEAL GINNY (BABY) - Closed with good pace in her first start; one to watch down the road.

TERESA'S BEACH (BABY) - Showed a couple of moves before drawing clear in the lane. This one is ready to go right now.

FRIDAY, JULY 13

SEA RAVEN (NW10000) – Made the front easily, yielded his way into a bad spot and had to wait for room before finishing up willingly. She gets to drop to the basement next week.

SATURDAY, JULY 14

HOT ART (NW2) – Was reserved at the back of the pack and came home with good pace and no shot.

INTHEBLINKOFANEYE (NW10000) – Brushed to the front but yielded and wound up trapped in the stretch. Although he got clear, it was too late.

KEEP GOING (NW10000) – Finally displayed some life and had pace at both ends of the mile. Despite finishing second he is eligible to drop next week.

BLUE CLAW (NW6500) – Displayed good early speed and finished with pace once clear.

SWEET LOU (MED PACE) – Was in a bad flow and paced home willingly with no shot.

CAPTAINTREACHEROUS (BABY) - Moved with authority to command and held under urging for his third straight qualifying win; ready to roll.

ROCKNMY JEANS (QUA) - Closed with good pace without asking; definitely some potential here.

ODDS ON EQUULEUS (QUA) - Finished third in his pari-mutuel debut from post seven at Monti; strong late charge is better suited for a big track.

FRIDAY, JULY 6

LOVE U OVERANDOVER (NW10000) – Was taken out by a tired foe and had no chance of finishing better than where he finished.

SATURDAY, JULY 7

FORECLOSURE N (NW16000) – Closed well off lackluster cover and is eligible to drop a class next week.
