Meadowlands: Harness stars and carryovers on tap this weekend
A huge weekend of racing and wagering is on tap at The Meadowlands and DRF Harness has you covered from Friday’s huge carryovers to Saturday’s stakes-filled Meadowlands Pace card.

Friday’s card is loaded with wagering opportunities. A $28,976 Pick 5 carryover begins in race 3 and the track is guaranteeing the pool at $100,000. Derick Giwner goes over the sequence in a special video on DRF Harness TV. The section also has a video with Giwner and Matt Rose as they discuss the Meadowlands Pace and Stanley Dancer races for Saturday.
Along with the Pick 5 carryover, The Meadowlands has a gigantic $276,939 Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout carryover up for grabs in the 13th race. A 12-horse field is carded for handicappers to decipher.
On Saturday the $701,830 Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace for 3-year-old pacers is the featured attraction on a program that has 11 stakes races. The entire Survivor Pick 10 wager that kicks off in race 1 is made up of stake events. Horse of the Year Hannelore Hanover along with most of the hopefuls for the 2018 Hambletonian are in action.
The Saturday card offers two large guaranteed pools. In race 3 there is a $40,000 GTD Pick 5 and race 8 starts the $75,000 GTD Pick 4.
Racing on Friday commences at 7:15 p.m. while the Saturday card has an early post time of 6:35 p.m. EDT.
