Meadowlands: Hambletonian Oaks requires two eliminations
The Meadowlands drew for several major stakes Tuesday (7/24) to be raced the upcoming weekend of July 27 & 28.
The Hambletonian Oaks box held 17 3-year-old fillies entered for the stake. Eliminations will be on Saturday, July 28 and the top 5 in each elim will move on to the $500,000 final on Hambletonian Day, August 4. Manchego, last year's divisonal chanmpion, leads the group that also includes recent world record setter Plunge Blue Chip (1:49 4/5). Below are the Oaks fields:

Elimination winners for the Oaks will get to choose for posts 1-5 in the final. Post positions for the $500,000 final will be drawn and morning lines assigned on Tuesday, July 31, on a Facebook live post-position draw at 2 p.m. on the Meadowlands Facebook page and also streamed live on the Meadowlands YouTube channel.
The Peter Haughton Memorial 2-year-old Colt Trot had 10 declarations and not require eliminations. The 10 horses will go to the $422,350 final on Hambletonian Day, August 4.Horses for the Haughton are listed below in alphabetical order.

The Jim Doherty drew 19 freshman fillies and will have a pair of eliminations on Friday, July 27. The top 5 in each elimination will compete in the final on Hambo Day for a purse of $357,450.
