Race 1

(1) STITCH IN TIME is the sharpest horse in the race and he really had no shot from the outside post last time. He should still offer value in this spot with (3) SWEET JUSTICE sure to be overbet after getting locked in along the cones versus better last week. (6) LAUDERDALE has big early speed and could easily wire this field if feeling good.

Race 2

(7) CELEBRITY STIMULUS has been parked out each of his last two starts. If he can get the lead or change tactics, I can see him pulling off the upset. (4) PINE TAB looks like a heavy favorite on paper but has just one win in his last 48 starts and is just 7 for 165 in his career. (3) KEYSTONE THOMAS is sure to be involved early. Maybe this is the week he finds some stretch fight.

Race 3

(2) SUNSHINE DELIGHT has raced well from some tough outside posts out of town. While we don’t get a catch-driver, Lind knows this horse well and should be able to get her home. (3) CHAPTER TOO also ships in after dealing with bad draws; she’s proven over this surface. (1) SKIDAWAY goes for three straight and is hard to toss off your tickets. (8) VICTOR GIO IT didn’t exactly look rock solid despite winning last time and Tetrick, who is out of town, is the only guy who has been able to keep him trotting.

Race 4

(3) SWEETCHAP was stuck in post 10 in his first start of the year and caught a fast Excelsior A group at Vernon last time. I’ll excuse his early season failures and give him one more shot against a blank field. (9) MONEYDONTBUYULOVE flashed speed behind and was a solid second last time; one to beat? (5) ANNAPLOIS HALL has been putting together some decent efforts of late.

Race 5

There are many options in this race and I’d advise spreading if you are playing any multi-race exotics. (5) SHEER FLEX was used early in the mile and weakened late in his first start for this barn versus better foes. I’m giving him a second chance. (4) MOONLIGHT COCKTAIL comes out of the same race as the top choice and also finished within a few lengths of the winner; drops. (2) BJANTHONY has a strong record at this level. (3) REV IT NOW has been racing well but needs to drop four seconds to have a shot in here; capable. (1) EXPLOSIVE MAN was on his way to victory when he made his patented late break. If he behaves, he can win.

Race 6

(3) JEWELS IN HOCK showed improvement last week in her second start of the year and could pull off the upset here with a clean trip. (7) GURAL HANOVER is clearly the one to beat but he does lose Yannick Gingras. While Jordan Stratton is more than capable, I’m not sure I want to accept the short price. (5) NOT AFRAID races at Yonkers for the big purses. He is capable on the big track and has plenty of early speed. (6) B YOYO has proven he can step up when he feels like it.

Race 7

(7) MARKET SHARE finally gets some class relief this week. There are no excuses for losing in this spot. (2) BLUE SPARK wasn’t as bad as her most recent PP line looks. Against this lesser group she should give the top choice at least some trouble. (4) TRIUMPHANT’S CHIP has some ability but is hard to love off his recent performances.

Race 8

The best horses all drew outside, which could make for an interesting result if they are contested when leaving off the gate. (8) SUPER SOPH finds a good spot upon her return to The Meadowlands. She has early speed and the inside post edge on her main competition. (1A) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX has been flying off the gate recently and that should make post nine no problem to overcome. (5) DANDY’S BEAUTY raced well in her first start off the claim and seems to be in a decent spot again. (9) ABBIJADE HANOVER has been in form for some time but most somehow overcome post 10 with many inside likely leaving.

Race 9

(4) LANDONFITZ exits the Amateur ranks and that comes with a driver change to Abbatiello. Trotter is more than competent and should offer good value given his recent finishes. (8) WAR CRY HALL has plenty of class and now moves into a new barn; don’t ignore him. (5) MARTY DE VIE changes hands last week and made a break. Perhaps the switch to the big track will help? (2) I C CAVIAR knows how to win here and could pull off an upset if ready to fire off the bench.

Race 10

This race is right there with race five as a handicapping conundrum. I’ll try (2) JOYFUL GAME, who raced well when last seen here. Driver Victor Kirby typically offers good value on live horses when in town. (4) TWICE AN ANGEL is a good fit in this spot and should be flashing speed. (9) VELOCITY LANA finished fast from the back a week ago and needs a good pace to set her up again. (10) MAC’S SECURE upset in this class a few starts back; post 10 is an issue. (5) MCACE OF ARTS has solid connections behind her.
